Mourinho has been busy telling the world his thoughts in the last 48 hours. He wants to go to United it seems. We would be very much the fallback option, if at all for him, I think, stating the bloody obvious. I don't see why he would declare he would have a club by 30 June when he could be at Everton much sooner. We could do a deal with him in the coming week if he wanted it and we wanted it.
Would like to see him here of course, despite some misgivings, but we should not roll over either, particularly if it is apparent we are no more than a pawn in his game. He will join United still I think, both sides are just playing hard to get.
This is the most sensible post I've seen on the subject.

I am coming around to wanting him,
Yeah De Boer's not ready to come out the oven yet imo.

After reading about his style of play from multiple different people, I'm not convinced. Sounds very like Martinez' passing game and i'm frankly fed up with that. Not to mention his complete lack of experience outside of the undoubted best team in Holland.

I'd have Vitor over him, he done even better at Porto in what I would consider a stronger league.

I have reset the poll to the most mentioned candidates.

Erm mate...

We have to make it Mourinho, the statement that would make to the league and potential players, we would stop being looked at as little Everton. We would be on the back pages across the world because it would be such a shock in the football world.

That alone would help with our commercial income as we would be catapulted up there in the media world which would be attractive to new sponsors and partners. It is not going to be easy getting him and we can't put all our eggs in one basket but we already have a game changing owner, we now need game Changing statements of intent, Mourinho would be one of those statements.

Sorry mate was saying pellegrini was the one I was coming around to.
Have read a few things about FDB that say the footy is like bobby's, its a bit of a worry, but in his defence it looks like his team know how to defend.

I really don't see Mourinho coming here, not if PSG and Valencia are also after him, suppose it depends on finances and whether he's up for the challenge of building a title winning side rather than taking over an established one. Valencia need a rebuild job as well.

Maybe because he's still being paid by Chelsea until then?
