I can understand some people going for Moyes. He'd sort the defence out, which is our BIGGEST problem, oh and he#d get the players FIT. But, he'd also kill Barkleys career, and Lukaku would never score more than 10 goals a season ever again. Still we'd DEFINITELY win if we go 2-0 up.....

If Moyes came in:

1. We'd lose any decent player we have immediately
2. 90% of the fans would be against it as it would show zero ambition
3. We'd be a laughing stock
4. We'd probably be in a real relegation battle, as we'd lose all the decent players and no top players would want to join a train wreck.
5. He might prove to actually be a winner when he pulled us up from the Championship in 3 years time.

Among other bad things.

Nobody's mentioned this yet, probably for good reason, but André Breitenreiter has left the manager position at Schalke 04 as of today.

Schalke finished 5th in the Bundesliga this season with 52 points (securing a Europa League spot) and had a 44.2%. Breitenreitner was only one year into a two year contract, so that makes things sound a bit dire, but then again Schalke's ownership has churned through fourteen managers in the last ten years.

His only "notable" achievement in the past was getting SC Paderborn 07 promoted to the Bundesliga for the 2014/15 season. They finished last in the league and were relegated, but somehow Breitenreitner managed to jump ship to Schalke after Paderborn got the drop.

So! I'm sure Moshiri is on the phone right now to this newly available mediocre manager! Breitenreitner in!

Not heard anything personally to this effect. I think most blues recognise Jose is not guaranteed, but he's still in the frame. Of course, the decision lies with him more than us.

Would you still think Koeman is mostly likely mate? Have any other names emerged outside of the 4 touted?

Without wanting to offend any of the middle aged here, I have a theory. It's largely based on listening to my old man the past few days, but it seems to me that a lot of the 45/50+ bracket have a real small time mentality.

My dad would literally take any manager. He thinks we need ''an old head to pull us away from the drop''. He lived through the 80's too. I'm utterly baffled lol

Why are some so keen to appoint an utter no mark?

Have to agree there thoe, my uncle comes out with terrible shouts like 'pulis would do a job here' and a arl fella in the pub said the other day that, Sam alladyce would be worth a go, I [Poor language removed] you not

these are people that have seen are greatest days and yet I have more ambition and belief in this club than them, obviously it's not all that age group but I never here a 20 30 year old come out with terrible shouts like that

Are younger blues just deluded and the older ones are smarter, or are the oldies brain washed into excepting [Poor language removed] while the generation that boasts 1 fa cup strive for bigger things?

I agree myself in part but if the names linked like O'Neill, hughes and Howe are true I would deffo have Moyes over any of them. We just have to hope none of them are true and just papers filling space.
if it was between them 4. I think I would go for Howe, as he's still a bit of an unknown quantity.
You know what your getting with the other three. Which is not much

Oh, forgot to add, Moyes is definitely not under consideration.
