Always quite liked Paddy Barclay when he was on it. This morning was terrible, Dunn and Custis arguing like kids. Winter was the only one who talked sense.
Yes, I like him too, it's just that I buy The Telegraph so read HW a lot. I'll have to start buying
The Times instead - I only buy a paper for the sport and the crossword anyway.

Remember how nobody saw the new owners coming? It could be the same with the manager.
And I for one will welcome mr simeone with open arms.

Read a short piece about de Boer, how he likes to play, etc. He's apparently defensive, pragmatic even but likes to build from the back so perhaps a Moyes figure with a hint of Bobby. Could be crap, could be decent. At this point, I'd give him a punt. I'd be less enthused with someone who'll come in and completely tear up the decent work RM did, we can't go back to hoof ball, no matter how well Leicester showed it can work. They're a freak of nature that will be back in the Championship in a couple of years

The first one to tear up the decent work that RM did was RM himself! He was the instigator own downfall in so many ways! Any way back on topic said it before and I'll say it again - Operation Gooodison, get Mourinho!!

....the 14-1 with Paddy Power for Mourinho has now gone and he's into 8-1. It's looking like nobody has a clue but the Mourinho odds have been cut today.

I would be aghast if any of Mourinho (a self-absorbed primadonna), Benitez (disrespected Everton) or Moyes (ditto) get the job. I'd be happy with any of the other three in the poll.

Mourinho is the one who could offer instant success, but he'd rip the squad apart like a frat boy ripping up the furniture at a good party. We wouldn't regret the experience, but he'd leave with no small distress. And who follows him?

Koemen is a good but I'm not convinced he's great. I think we'd see a good squad with him but could he win something?

Pellegrini is boring and I doubt we'd see any chance of success with him. I'm afraid he'd be Moyes, part 2.

de Boer might be terrible and probably has the greatest risk of these four, but he's the one that promises the best mix of consistent success, which is what I want, so I picked him.
