"I still have a one-year contract," he said after the match. "I spoke to the board and we had the meeting and it's always my wish to stay because I like the club, fans and players.

"We understand every time its (the ambition) more difficult because we need to improve, and expectation will be higher than it was two years ago and if we have the same ambition again then no problem.

"But the club likes to talk about the future. I had always in Holland a one-year contract. I'm not so worried about the future. If the club likes to know about the future after next season, okay that's what we'll talk about.

"Our finishing this season is stronger than last season. What we did this season, it's maybe more than the maximum we can do as a team, and a big compliment to the players."

That seems to be that.

It will be Mourinho, Moshiri has a very very clear defined plan to take us where he wants us - if you want an analagy it is very reminiscient of some strong owners of the past in this league, and it will be very compelling to someone like Mourinho.

Meanwhilst Man United are right now doing their very best to resemble the way Everton have done business for the past 25 years, dithering, indecisive and fractured about what to actually do and which way to go. Seemingly without any direction or even a cohesive plan.

IF Mourinho is the same hungry manager with a desire to cement a legacy and be the 'special one' then he will choose us, if he doesn't then honestly i won't cry over it and it will be his loss.

Erm not good for us. Seems he after a pay rise and a bigger transfer budget which Southampton will give, they would be mad not to.

We have Frank or pellegrini left.

Not really mate, IF he wants saints to match the type of deal we have offered in terms of backing then don't think it will go down well with their owners being laid down demands

But, at the end of the interview he says 'they show in the planning they show the ambition, but I like to hear what's the ambition and how we can reach that ambition, and that's all about sometimes money'

The problem is koeman has had a massive surplus in his net spend, virtually half the team of two years ago were sold for big money I'd guess only half of that has been reinvested back in the team. When you consider the new tv deal that takes effect next season, I don't think koeman is unrealistic in what he is asking and that is what worries me.
