done my research on Lucien Favre, he looks very interesting, would be his most notable appointment if he joined.

has always had success, brought middle to lower placed teams to the top. champions league in Bundesliga. he has twice left clubs due to "recruitment issues" after his players were plucked the following season.

Plays fast team counter attacking via short passes, beofre they have time to adjust. and pressure teams aggressively to win back ball when defending.
Isnt he 68 though?

Would love Favre myself but I am deeply concerned about the fact he just got up and left Monchengladbach after a rocky start. Think it was 6 losses in the opening games? Bit concerned about his mental strength in that regard. Do think he'd be a good appointment though.

At least he took responsibility and fell on his sword, not many would do that (as we well know)

Actually with the amount of tactical analysis and in-depth articles about managers these days it's a lot easier to get a handle on what a manager is like than a player.

Yes, but my point is for the lazy gentleman who can't be arsed with all that, their go-to platform for football scouting (YouTube) is redundant when it comes to potential managerial appointments.

Something about Favre gives me the willies - just the image I get with his name reminds me of abject failure Remi Garde.

Favre would be the best choice.

So you think he is a better bet than a manager who has managed in the premier league for 2 seasons and had 6th and 7th place finishes with a very substantial turnaround of players and over achieved?

Who also was a world class defender so commands huge respect and has won trophies in other countries previously.

Each to their own like, but I cannot fathom with the above information how you could choose Favre as a better option than Koeman.

Farve - walked off the job after 5 straight defeats at the start of the season and questions marks around his man management skills (turns his back on players when he falls out) not know for developing youth payers.

He is known for being tactically astute and possession play.

Drums fingers at the thought of the choices below Jose.

Put it out there...is LVG in the running for our job if he gets the bullett?
Surely better CV than the other Dutch coaches we are currently linked with?
His early CV is good but he has been awful for United. A lot of his purchases, other than Martial, have been expensive flops and although he has developed youth it has a very "dump them in and hope they figure it out" feel to it like when he brought on Nick Powell for his only appearance since 2014 to try and rescue the CL game against Wolfsburg...and then sent Powell out on loan a few days later. He is incredibly arrogant and can be very vindictive and petulant as demonstrated by his treatment of Victor Valdes.

His team have largely played incredibly safe and boring football - they were 1st in the league for backwards passes, 3rd for passes sideways and 18th for chances created whilst many of their points were only gained by the brilliance of De Gea....who but for a paperwork snafu he would have sold last summer.

wasn't he known as "The professor" in Spain? sounds dreary as, i'm out.

Only Koeman, De Boer or Cocu would suffice now. Let's go the new breed of orange!

LvG - duly character assassinated... and quite understandably ;)
