He wouldn't be my first second third fourth or fifth choice, but i still rate Wilder highly as a manager.

You are clearly contradicting yourself here, in the first post you wouldn't have Wilder, let me see noe as second, third, fourth or very oddly even fifth choice as manager?
But hey you're quite happily now touting for him as basically 'The chosen one' you also openly canvassed for him to get the Rangers job, why don't you do us all a favour and continue your love in on one of the Sheffield clubs' forums since you bang on about them all the time or alternatively could you show us one of your posts on herewhere you actually post anything positive about Everton.

Yes but his blades side, are taking to the premier league like a duck to water.Everton is a great club with great history heritage and tradition. The work the club does in the community, is to be greatly admired. It's just that bad management, lack of funding, and lack of ambition, have left this club as a shadow of it's former self. The last 32 years have been an insult and embarrassment. If thinking that makes me negative then so be it.

The only real bloke for the job IMO is Wilder. Knows how to build a team and get very the best out of it, and without spending a fortune too. Considering what he's had to work with, his coaching methods must be brilliant.

We are 7/8 games in, there's always one or two of the promoted sides make a good start and that duck soon becomes a lead weigh, Blackpool, Huddersfield, to name but 2 Wagner was being touted as the next big thing, where's he now?
Don't be so quick to promote him from 5th choice to first, that's how we ended up with Mike Walker, vaulting at the ready.

No more hiring no mark manager from lesser team. The board must go for proven quality if we are to break into top 6.

Jeez that's ugly reading but Roger Schmidt was highly regarded and had Leverkusen playing some thrilling stuff for a couple of years tbf. There'd be some excitement and a clear philosophy to work toward I guess. The rest actively make me feel a bit sick.
Yeah, I was trying to figure out why Schmidt sounded so familiar then remembered I was watching Leverkusen almost as much as Everton for a couple years when he was manager. He bombed out of there pretty badly but it was some fun stuff at that time.

Wagner is at Schalke who just comfortably beat RB Leipzig, one of the best teams in Germany led by the much hyped Nagelsmann, to go 1 point off top. Seems to be doing pretty well so far imo, especially considering Schalke ended 14th last season. Not like he's fell off the face of the earth like Holloway.

I do agree with what you're saying though. I mean even Hull had a great start back kn the day, but we all know that didn't mean Phil Brown was a good manager.

Yeah it ended pretty ugly for him. Kinda reminded me of Klopps last season at Dortmund or Bielsa pretty much anywhere. Maybe it's burnout after playing such a high pressing style for so long? Schmidt would have to adapt if he came to England. Even Klopp got rid of his longtime assistant who was heavily credited with the super aggressive press and changed to a less aggressive, more possession based style.

Schmidt would definitely bring some fun for a while, especially if Brands got the players for his system. But Schmidt kinda comes across as a manager you'd like to see in England, due to his teams style of play, but managing another team, so you wouldn't have to worry about the crash and burn. Like a managerial Hatem Ben Arfa, thrilling as a neutral, probably often infuriating if you have to watch every week.

Spot on mate. Any new manager comes in would want is own players. So we would have to start the cycle again, then next year he could struggle. I want success as much as every blue does, but we have to give it time. Yeah been nearly 30 years since we won a trophy, but only last few years have we shown any ambition. Yeah we have had wrong appointments in key areas, like players and managers. But I am not surprised, because it’s the first time we have shown any ambition in a long time, so mistakes are going to made. Was always going to take time to right the wrongs. I’m behind silva and brands because they had a lot of mess to clean up and still do. We all will have different opinions on who is to blame and who should be in charge.

Any half decent manager with a brain could get a tune out of the playing squad with basic motivation and simple tactics something Silva is incapable of.
