No amount of money, people think these top managers are desperate for money, Jose has had about 7 jobs, all of which have paid him 15m a season, he doesnt need any more money.

Top 5 paid managers in football in 2018/19:
1 | Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid) - €41m
2 | José Mourinho (Man Utd) - €31m
3 | Thierry Henry (Monaco) - €25.5m (3 months wage + severance)
4 | Pep Guardiola (Man City) - €24m
5 | Ernesto Valverde (FC Barcelona) - €23.5m
So really the number is like 50m a year and 30% of the club's stock

Yep I want him out but no point if we haven’t got a plan or just give it to Unsy for a few games.
Or worse give it to Unsy, realize he can't do it after 6 weeks and appoint Allardyce on a short term basis without telling him that he isn't staying causing him to spend 40m on meh players in a panic.

We have to try for Mourinho surely, said he wants to manage in the premiership again, sure he said something about he will go into a role if there is the right project/ambition there. Nobody can deny we have that, weve spent an absolute fortune over the last 3 years, badly in the most part but the backing is there. Wonder how long mosh will continue to plough money in at this rate tho. He looks like a bit of a plonker at the moment.

Mourinho would just be lifeless football. I think Howe or arteta could be excellent in the future but lack the experience and would be a gamble.

Simeone would be my choice but will never happen
If Mourinho (I dont believe personally he would be interested, but we should throw the money at him IMO) wouldnt b Ioe able to bring pride back to this club, no one will.

He would be the biggest statement we've ever made, would demand respect from the players immediately, would bring a media attention and bring his arrogant swagger which would make people sit and take notice of Everton.

He'd have a strongest position here of his career and IMO he would thrive under those circumstances.

Top, top managers arent motivated by money.

Yes I know thats a silly comment, everybody wants to get paid and they wont work for peanuts, but the really good 1s arent motivated by how much they stack in the bank, its how many trophies they have on their CV and a job at Everton is NOT good for a CV.

Agree with that, Mourhino doesn't need the personal wealth although he would expect it for his services, but I think he would turn this team into something, makes him look good, makes us good I'm happy with that

Top managers go for easy jobs.

Turning us in to a Champions League contending team, even with decent investment, is not an easy job.

Far easier to wait for one of the top 6 teams to appoint a new manager, which is the problem we have.

Honestly think it'll be a punt at an up and comer again, you'd hope a bit more due diligence but i don't expect to see us attracting top quality managers till we reach at least a quality level, we've been out of europe for years and only once finished above Moyes' side since he left despite the vast amount of money spent, that sums up how embarassingly backwards we've actually gone despite maintaining a positive outlook in the media.

Arteta is the most likely, connection with the club and fans, highly respected in the football industry, speaks 5/6 languages which is massive in a squad like ours and honestly has the pedigree of someone destined for management. We might me the one who has to take the gamble on him and hope it works.

Outside of Arteta, british based coaches are really lacking in recent years so if i was taking a gamble i'd look at Santiago Solari.

His record at Real given he had no Ronaldo was 68% wins in a time where Lopetegui (Current Sevilla manager 5 points off top with a game in hand) only managed 42% wins and Zidane in his 2nd spell now without Ronaldo is just about 50%. Solari also brought through a number of youngsters not afraid to drop stars much bigger than our lot of dross. He's openly spoke about wanting to move to the premier league for a big club and project, might be the ideal type.

Yes but Mourhino has been sacked by Chelsea and Man Utd, maybe he needs the job of Everton to put his name back up there, prove a point in this league

i'd probably prefer mourinho or simeone, but i think it's just not likely that they'd come to us.. so i voted for benitez.
