I will look back on this thread in September 2020 when Marco is still playing 4231 in the championship away at Barnsley and laugh.
Nah. It looks bad right now but we are playing bang average stuff. We will be in the 40-50 point range if Silva stays all year because when you play average it comes down to bounces and a bit of luck. It will even out enough, we will get to 45 points and we will finish 8th or 9th again. We have made no progress.

Yeh I was over exaggerating mate but I do believe Silva will be here come the summer. I want him out but I doubt we will sack a manager who is 7 points off 4th. Regardless of where we are to the relegation zone, him and brands can put a positive spin on it.

Instead of buying players for 20 , 30 and 40 million just pay over the odds for a top manager. Which is between 10 and 15 million a season. Silva is on 3 million. Klopp and poch are on between 8 and 10. We have a decent squad. We just need someone with tactical nouse and a winning mentality to coach them.

I don't know that he will stay even if he recovers. Presumably it is Brands call and since Brands didn't appoint him it would not shock me if he binned him and got his own man in. As for sacking him now, soon or at any point this season, I don't know that it is worth it if the replacement isn't coming until summer anyway.

Can you name a top manager that would join a club on its arse for an extra 2m a year?

When they can just get a job at a proper club.

The best manager available right now imo is Allegri. What amount of money gets him in the room? 25m a year? I'm not sure that is enough.

Yep I want him out but no point if we haven’t got a plan or just give it to Unsy for a few games.

No amount of money, people think these top managers are desperate for money, Jose has had about 7 jobs, all of which have paid him 15m a season, he doesnt need any more money.

Top 5 paid managers in football in 2018/19:
1 | Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid) - €41m
2 | José Mourinho (Man Utd) - €31m
3 | Thierry Henry (Monaco) - €25.5m (3 months wage + severance)
4 | Pep Guardiola (Man City) - €24m
5 | Ernesto Valverde (FC Barcelona) - €23.5m
