I'm confused by the Mourinho stuff.

Respect from players? And all this other stuff...

That train started to leave the station at Chelsea and departed en route to a trainwreck at Man Utd. The guy single handedly destroyed his reputation over the course of about a year in a way I've never seen before.

I don't see anything that leads me to believing players respect or want to play for the guy. His act is old and tired, no one wants to deal with him or play for him.

When the team wins, it's all Jose. When they lose he throws anyone and everyone under the bus. He has been exposed for what he is.

Their were a ton of openings at big clubs since he got canned from United and his name was never rumored at any of them.

Mid season realistic appointments from that list: Arteta, Benitez, Marcelino and Moyes. Not sure replacing Silva for Arteta or Moyes would actually improve anything on the pitch either. Sigh.

I am sure the problems we have go far deeper than the manager-for him no defence offered- I have supported Bill through thick and thin but I suspect that the rot is at least as deep as him .I am proud of the club and the work it does but this getting everyone to love us and loving them back is not very savvy as far as the team goes .The display( I use that in it's original meaning ,to describe something I cannot find words for ) yesterday left me in a place that I never remember as a Blue of 69 years we have had bad sides and played cack but there has always been a good player or two .
This manager has served up the same team playing the same tactics time and again, tactics that every other team knows do not work .
They let us pass the ball about to please Silva ,knowing that soon we will overdo it and lose the ball .Absolute certainty ,that and the fact that we have no sting up front ,every move the players -given the option-go for a back or side pass .
Then he has managed to turn one of the leagues best up and coming players ,who scored the most goals for us last year into a shambles and a liability .By moving Richarlison to the other wing he has ruined him .It is like putting Messi as a last line defender ,I simply don't understand his reasoning .If he still believes this is the answer then he is crazy ,you cannot nullify your most potent player week after week and think it is better for the team .He is a player we should build the team around ,wait for the game just to see him play not be on here shouting for his head .
I understand that with a potent goalscorer we would all be on here in a different mood .Surely if Brands is who we were lead the believe he will stop this soon .
Most of all we need to get rid of this jobs for the boys attitude ,they all wear slippers for work as it so cosy .We need a total rethink and I am hoping Brands is just waiting for his moment once he can justify a major overhaul .I am not for sacking managers all the time in fact I have supported Martinez,Koeman and Unsie against sacking them .I suppose that line alone means I have no idea but ne'etheless I hope we get a complete gutting -as far down as Bill .

At this point in time, I literally have no idea who could take us forward bar an elite name, can we attract said name, doubtful. I think we could be stuck in this rut for a very long time still.

How is Howe lacking experience? He’s been in the Premier League more than Silva? And Simeone for that matter. He’d be mad to quit for Everton anyway!

Yes but he hasnt coached a team with any real success. Done a decent job at Bournemouth but no experience of managing a team with much higher aspirations and much more money. He would be a punt.

Not sure we can risk gambling on another manager with no proven record in the EPL.

I don’t believe the garbage we’ve seen is ENTIRELY down to Silva, Koeman etc. there has to be a culture at the club that needs to be cleared out.

We need a strong character who could come in & command everything be done his way. Identify the detractors & kick them out. Can’t say I “like” the man, but Benitez fits that bill.

No idea what his situation in China is, but I’d be surprised if Everton wouldn’t interest him. He took on Newcastle, so he wouldn’t think he was above us.
Imagine he’d relish taking us over the park to put one over his old employers.

He will be a gamble and with a point to prove. He wont have a progba to deal with and our players will totally respect him.
