Mate it does but we aren’t big enough to attract a world class manager

But everyone says Jose is finished at top level so surely we are next step down? Sorry but if we were serious about getting anyone we would put together a financial package to tempt them, the fact we don't even try is a bit crap.

Fair enough, over his duration he won bugger all, that's certainly a selling point, I can see the vociferous shouts for him based on this.

He's lost more games in the current year than the fella we want rid of. He's become a super coach by finishing top 4 and getting to a final, thats's how far football has fallen, that's success these days.

Like it or not in a world of oil states and oligarchs owning football teams success is relative.

As a fan I want silverware too so I get your point.

The harsh reality is that to get the silverware you need bettered players, to get better players you need more money, to get more money you need CL football. He gave a team paying EL transfer fees CL football. He gave them forward progress 4 years in a row.

Would a coach with Mourinho's record have looked at Spurs 5 years ago?

If Martinez had delivered what Poch did, how big a draw would Everton be today?

Ambition and board. Is the reason why I think they only care about this stadium, Jose will have spurs right up there. we just aren’t a big pull anymore

He progressed, then regressed, hence being sacked.

Don't get me wrong, I would 100% take Poch, he's probably of a better standard than who we would be linked with I guess but I think his record bears more scrutiny. He had an elite striker on the books and a very solid spine and they've started looking like us.

Let's not beat about the bush, Harry Kane is the reason they are banging on the top 4 all the time, he's a top level forward, something we never have.

Just glad the mourinho shouts can stop. Now though we have the ridiculous poch shouts. Imagine reading a Bournemouth fan forum with their fans saying let’s get poch. It’s no different than us. We are not suddenly going to break salary records for managers to attract a world class name. We have to sell before we can buy. Also, we are a mid table side that hasn’t won a trophy for 25 years. Why do people keep on shouting for Europe’s proven, coveted managers? We need to take a punt on someone on the way up like Southampton did with poch (a Martinez, Silva or next could be an arteta) and hope they’re the real deal. Or get Benitez. Simple
