When Everton start getting good we might be able to attract good managers lads, Until Everton get a Pochettino type gamble right it's going to be hard to attract anyone worthy of note.

This! There’s no way Mourinho would’ve entertained Spurs before Poch rocked up there and achieved a string of top 4 finishes.

They employed a young up and coming manager and grew along with him, to the position where they can now pick and choose their managers.

Unfortunately for us, all the managers we’ve appointed since moyes left have turned out to be duds.

As much as it pains me to say, Benitez is the only realistic option that could really improve us and take the club in a positive direction with a long term strategy. All the other serious contenders are horrifyingly bad.

Yep Spurs stock is high, Everton are a big team history wise but we're a tadpole in the ocean in today's game, We're midtable team with a good chance of breaking top 6/Europe if things go our way.
Poch did what Moyes did for us but a lot lot better and that's what Everton needs imo before we can start attracting decent managers.

Just glad the mourinho shouts can stop. Now though we have the ridiculous poch shouts. Imagine reading a Bournemouth fan forum with their fans saying let’s get poch. It’s no different than us. We are not suddenly going to break salary records for managers to attract a world class name. We have to sell before we can buy. Also, we are a mid table side that hasn’t won a trophy for 25 years. Why do people keep on shouting for Europe’s proven, coveted managers? We need to take a punt on someone on the way up like Southampton did with poch (a Martinez, Silva or next could be an arteta) and hope they’re the real deal. Or get Benitez. Simple

See I disagree with this. benitez would demand a very good salary and also likes to spend money - hence why he's left Newcastle. Benitez is also one of the big top managers, so you say we cant get Poch or Jose, then go to say get Benitez. In my opinion Rafael is a bigger name than Poch.

Jose wanted London, he got London. Will get an impact from them, take them towards the top 6, go on a cup run and probably leave next summer over budget

I can see it now... We're going to cling onto Silva for as long as possible allowing him to further damage our squad, and once his performances become unbearable we'll actually manage to downgrade and bring in a Moyes / Hughs tier manager. Plus I garantee people will justify that kind of appointment "oh well we have to be realistic". Ugh i cant wait!
