1) It wasn’t weeks, it was 18 months.
2) He didn’t fail, he oversaw a huge squad change at Burnley. He got rid of the old Burnley players like Steven Fletcher, Graham Alexander, Clarke Carlisle and Kevin Long and brought in young players like Charlie Austin, Ben Mee, Kieran Trippier, Danny Ings, Sam Vokes who would later form the basis of Burnleys promotion team.
3) He wasn’t sacked, he quit for personal reasons to return to Bournemouth.

He was also only 34. The same latitude we grant to young players starting their careers to make mistakes, we should grant to managers too.

What he has achieved at Bournemouth since then is nothing short of a miracle. To have them where they are, on the budget he’s had, for the size of the club, shows not only a shrewdness in the transfer market - look at the quality of the players he’s signed for tiny fees - but most importantly he’s got a unique ability to actually ‘coach’ players. He’s turned bog standard league one players into disciplined Premier League players down there.

He’s still only 41 and, mark my words, he will 100% get a chance at a top six club in the next few years. Excellent manager.

I'm not making predictions on where he will go because that's a mugs game but it's evident that he's a good coach and if we weren't who we were I'd be keen. But we're now in a position where we have to go and get a premium manager or we're just going to keep repeating the same mistakes and nobody without a stellar track record will get the time needed.

Adam, please arrange an interview with Marco, get the camera assistants Canon camera and crack the mutant over the head (gently) out of here.

Thanks in advance

39% WIN RECORD .He ain't going anywhere near a top 6 team. Here endeth the lesson.

39% win record, with Bournemouth? Yeah that’s about right, what does that prove?
Good record !!!!! He paid 19 million for Solanke, when Palace turned him down on loan due to fitness problems. He's hardly pulled up trees has he.

You can have a good record and still have the odd blemish. One swallow doesn’t make a summer!

No manager has an unblemished record in the transfer market, even the very best ones.

Bournemouth aren’t far off where they should be given the money spent, its something of a myth that he has had scarce resources and has more to do with the perception of Bournemouth as a small club rather than the reality of their financial backing during their rise from the lower leagues.
In any case his time at Burnley proved he’s a typical Southern invertebrate.

No mate 39% at Burnley.

No more chancer managers like Martinez/Silva it's time to went for someone with a bit of credentials about them, A Europa league manager or someone who took a considered weak team to the top 4 in one of the stronger leagues outside the PL is a realistic target for us.

Mate just give me the 50 quid and I'll give you 1000 if I ever manage Everton.

You've as much chance of seeing your money back as putting it on Hughes.

who knows what will happen

got no faith in this ownership whatsoever... im quite sure moshiri lives in cloud cuckoo land

If Moshiri is serious then it is time for a serious Manager, there should be no talk of Howes or Dyches or Moyes, only of Mourinho allegri Benitez etc
We are the most mentally weak team in the league. All of the players are at every level are molly coddled the title winning u23s go out on loan and can’t get games in mens football even at lower league levels
we need a change from top to bottom, all of these ex players who played in some of the crapest teams we have ever produced need removing too.
They all love Everton because it is a charity and a care home for crap explayers,
clean house and bring in winners. I hate everyone at Everton at the minute because they are embarrassing.
Go big or go home time!

So we're currently 16th in the table, 2 points off the relegation zone with a joker of an owner and people think managers like Mourhino, simeone and Allegri would come here?

No wonder people think our fanbase is deluded. Nothing won in near 25 years, no european footy but these managers would find us an attractive proposition?

Behave

We should have went for Brendan Rodgers before he went to Leicester.

Nah mate, he managed the RS, we would rather be 16th than playing great football with an ex Red!!
