Moyes record since leaving Everton isn't very good and his style of play is totally outdated. Martinez was too stubborn and the bad results rightly cost him his job but i'll always believe he would've spent the millions Koeman was given on better quality players. Thing is if Moyes comes back I would be expecting us to finish around 10th, no way would he break into the top 6. We would have a better chance of doing so under Martinez. Neither are coming back anyway.Why...because he likes to finish 11th?I would have Moyes over him because Moyes had proved he’s good at this club even that was more than seven years ago.
Alright, Nostradamus. If Moshiri was appointing his whole board, as he's done with the other 4 members, Kenwright wouldn't be on it. I have no idea why he's still on it, but it won't surprise me in the least if he's replaced the first chance Moshiri gets. He's still whispering in the big mans ear buddy otherwise he would be out.
The dynamics of a manager search is always immensely interesting to me as an American fan. In our sports, most of the time there is no lead candidate before interviews get started. The candidate is always selected after that process. At this point it HAS to be someone who plays aggressive footy, (preferably plays a 4-3-3), a strong high press, improves and promotes our young players, has a great eye for talent, and isn't beholden to ever playing Gylfi, Morgan, Coleman ever again.
Probably a dozen of those guys out there /sarc

That's also very predictive to suggest you know how Moshiri recruits and what he's going to do.Alright, Nostradamus. He might've kept West Ham up but the fans absolutely wanted him gone at the end of the season because the football they where playing was so bad.Moyes would match what the others have done since. With some money I think he would close the gap, but he would need some windows to clear out some of the dross we have.
He done well with West Ham but I do think we need to look to the future and I don’t think he is it, unfortunately there isn’t much out there, especially for us. We are not the big draw some people think we are.
He might've kept West Ham up but the fans absolutely wanted him gone at the end of the season because the football they where playing was so bad. Would be a absolutely atrocious appointment, especially on a long term basis. Would really show how small time we are.Moyes would match what the others have done since. With some money I think he would close the gap, but he would need some windows to clear out some of the dross we have.

I think then wanting him gone was Napoleon complex , thinking they can do better than himHe might've kept West Ham up but the fans absolutely wanted him gone at the end of the season because the football they where playing was so bad.
They did do better and replaced him with Pellegrini.I think then wanting him gone was Napoleon complex , thinking they can do better than him
Much like us and allardyce. We all just wanted him gone either way for the same reason.
And we have benefitted ever since for that way of thinking.
I'm a Yank too, so I know exactly what you're thinking. That said, I'm 99% sure that even in our professional sports, when a manager is sacked mid-season, the club has the next guy lined up already. Though often it just becomes a guy from the coaching staff (like Ole following Jose at ManU last year). The dynamics of a manager search is always immensely interesting to me as an American fan. In our sports, most of the time there is no lead candidate before interviews get started. The candidate is always selected after that process.
I’ve only followed Everton for a short time - but it felt like both Koeman and Silva were handed the job before it was even available. Is that a fair assessment?
I’m not saying either style has a better “hit” ratio, just interesting to see the difference.
Good god he’s going to try and wriggle his way back in
You sure are, BUT I do have some (as in, all) evidence on my side. Moshiri appointed Brands & the other 3 Board members. Kenwright is the only holdover from the previous owners. So you're right, I also can't predict the future, but all signs point to yes. That's also very predictive to suggest you know how Moshiri recruits and what he's going to do.
Quite hypocritical really mate.
But don't worry I'm not the forum police and you are entitled to your opinion of course.
As am I
Honestly wouldn't even be against Martinez again. Happiest times we've had as fans in the past 10 years (which admittedly says more about the club than him).
