Wasn't the Premier League primarily counter football? When I started watching it there was a thought process of "I don't care if I lose it because I know Im going to get it back shortly" which just had frenetic football being played.

Simeone is bossing it in a top division- not winning trophies and finishing mid table in a league of the quality of League One.

You're not taking into account the gulf in quality between the Premier League and the Argentinian league - until you take that into account you'll never grasp it.

Do you not know Simeones managerial background or who he played with before?

Just because Simeone is a top coach and made it in Spain doesnt mean Gallardo will.

Otherwise we best go appoint Aberdeens manager he's a scot and so was Sir Alex who also managed Aberdeen what could go wrong quick Mosh quick!!

My point seems to have sailed over your head...

Take a look at the backgrounds of Simeone and Gallardo + their links with Bielsa.

Mate the fact remains he would be a big risk and we aint in the position to be taking risks that big.

Let him go manage Real Sociedad or the like and if he does well then we can get him.

So it was just one game and unrealistic to think that he can keep that level of intensity going, but if United can have Ole and Chelsea have Lamps, why would appointing Duncan be such a bad idea. Seriously, could he be any worse than the last three incumbents?

Well you either rate Simeone and Bielsa or you dont i suppose...

Gallardos record is superior to both in Argentina...you know where they both managed.

Both of those have many good players at their disposal. We are a bit thin on top talent.
