Crikey, they are dragging this out aren't they. So far a default of Ferguson might not be the end of the world - preferred to Allardyce anyway. Damning with faint praise.
 
All gone quiet on this front again. No new names linked no rumours in the media. The fact Arsenal are going for Arteta is an indication of what’s actually available at the moment.
 
Simeone for me, has that passion and aggression that could get a tune out of our squad as it is now. I think he would be driven and motivated by a whole new challenge. Carlos, not sure, fantastic coach but does he need an Everton in his life at this stage
 

The right decision in my opinion. Big Dunc motivating the players and fans on an important night at Goodison gives us our best chance of getting to the semi final.

Ideally we will announce our new manager by then, or if it is Ancelotti, just before the game, and it'll be bouncing.

I am kinda siding on this. I have a feeling we might announce something before the game or maybe introduce them during the game. Give the crowd double to scream about. Didn't we have Fat Sam announced not long before the West Ham game? Cant remember now.

I don’t think the media has a clue, think it was last Thursday where Sky and TS where saying Moyes appointment was immanent that day and it never happened. Think they have realised that Moyes isn’t getting the job and so they no idea who is

From memory he was in the stand watching the game with the board, and it was announced on the same day.
