Mark Hughes has delivered exceptional results on this sort of project before at Blackburn.

He's not my choice, I was just asked, based on the logic I just described who would be applicable and, as he's done it before - he's one of them.

If it's a project about being top at looking tosh then yeah by all means stick his name in the hat.

Hughes is a very capable manager.

We’re talking someone who has taken Blackburn from relegation threatened into Europe, reaching three consecutive Cup semi finals in the process. He also signed and created the core of City’s first title winning team - signing the likes of Kompany, Kolo Toure, Lescott, Zabaleta, Bridge, Barry, De Jong, Tevez, Adebayor and Bellamy who would win the title the season after he left.

He qualified for Europe via the league with Fulham too, he kept QPR up which is what he was appointed for and he achieved Stoke’s best league finish in over 40 years.

He took over Southampton with them 1 point above the drop, he kept them up and got them to the FA Cup semi final.

That’s a little over a decade and there’s some great achievements there. Sure, you can look at how his time at Stoke soured toward the end or the few months pre-Christmas at Southampton last season that saw him sacked - like all managers he’s made mistakes.

As I said, he wouldn’t be my 1st choice but I could certainly understand the logic if the board got him in.

The best managers have worked with some of the best staff. But he will have and get in some of his own elite back room staff. He may not be able to attract the top players, but he can get the players he has upto speed as he has in his previous clubs.
Because he brings his family, thats a negative?

Well Bayern thought so, take on your other points though, we c an only hope.

There is no way on gods earth Carlos is coming to Everton.

I think it will be the old, and very predictable, case of his agent using good old Everton to smoke some other club out.

Sad but inevitable.

People will stop reading once he/she reads this.

Did they? How on earth is it a negative for a foreign manager to bring his family with him? Surely it can only be a positive? Jose got criticism when it transpired he was living in a hotel whilst his family remained in London. For a manager to settle, or a player. Surely he has to have people with him to enable him to be settled.

No mate your reading it wrong, or I've wrote it wrong, he gave them jobs in the club, Bayern were fuming about it.
Don't know if he's done that elsewhere like.
Would be a good thing if he brought his familylol, I would.

Maybe who knows, he might fancy a job in England. He is not getting Arsenal so... In reality his options are going down given he's managed all the top clubs.
