There is no way on gods earth Carlos is coming to Everton.

I think it will be the old, and very predictable, case of his agent using good old Everton to smoke some other club out.

I just can’t see we look appealing to a manager like him. He goes to teams that are al ready well built, our squad still needs a few transfer windows to get it any where near being well built.

Mark Hughes has delivered exceptional results on this sort of project before at Blackburn.

He's not my choice, I was just asked, based on the logic I just described who would be applicable and, as he's done it before - he's one of them.

I always think that - I'd rather the "club" never said anything ever - but you have to play the media game these days. It's too pervasive to ignore, and at least by giving a statement we set the agenda a little bit.
