Steve Bruce is out performing him at Newcastle and hes just finished bloody 9th in China.

As I've already said, Steve Bruce has taken over a team that has been a stable mid table side for 2 years now, the groundwork has been done for him, in top of that Bruce has spent an extra 65m.

Big deal, they finished 9th this season. Rafael took over half way through the season and their overall aim was to avoid relegation, they finished 11th last season. So he's done what was expected of him

Won one of the toughest leagues around just 2 years ago.

We don't show ambition in how we behave as a club 99% of the time. We accept mediocrity from top to bottom.

Why would that change when it comes to appointing a manager?

If we actually had ambition, a top manager would be here by now. The club have no plan.

I think Eddie Howe is the best manager we can get in the circumstances.

He's also capable of keeping us up, improving our young players and has proven to be shrewd in the transfer market.

I think he's in the top 5 managers in the league right now, clear philosophy and still very young.

What's not to like?

Better that than sit there deluding ourselves that either

A) Some no mark from China who we turned down / turned us down 7 years ago is better than we think (Klopp mk II FFS)
B) We're getting Pochettino, Simeone, Mourinho and other managers that wouldn't entertain us.
