Yes Flacco and Lamar are very similar level players.
I don't know what is worse the people who think PL results are the only way to look at the sport or the NFL people who think QBs win and lose games alone and that a few playoff games are defining of a player.

Imagine thinkng that I think Flacco and Lamar are equivalent players
Lamar is a running back for all intents and purposes. A very good one. But he plays QB and at his cap hit the Ravens won’t be able to surround him with the talent he needs to succeed. Guys like Mahomes can win with anyone on offense bc he’s that good. Lamar, as electric as he is, needs help to succeed

Yes because Lamar's prior success was due to the wealth of talent he's had supporting him.
Just a fun stat, at least fun for me, in 2020 his second and third leading receivers were Boykin (you should be familiar with his game) and Willie Snead. Since that season those two have combined for 55 yards. In two seasons. Lamar is going to have better support in the future simply because it's impossible for it to be worse.

Time will tell on winning a SB. Winning a lot of games time has already told. I'm thrilled here.
This is like locking in Neymar for your team. Is it the best option for winning? Hard to say. Is it a lot of fun having him on your team? Yeah it is. Sport is supposed to be fun at the end of the day.

I want the team to win the SB again but honestly in a sport that is very random I'll definitely settle for just having a lot of fun every fall.

Lamar has thrown for 3000 yards just once in his 5 seasons as a pro. In todays NFL that is a ludicrously low number. Additionally his completion percentage has dropped every year. Maybe OBJ will save him, I don’t know.
But in a conference with Mahomes, Allen and Burrow and not forgetting Watson as well, he has to improve as a passer massively to justify the contract

The thing is Lamar was not given an opportunity to throw for more. You can say it's because he can't, I'd argue it's a choice the Ravens made. It's not that OBJ saves him so much as real receivers will make it possible to do.
