I am sad
Hope he retires after the season so you don't get that 1st round pick next year

Its not based on that apparently. Becomes a 1st if he plays 65% of offensive snaps.Hope he retires after the season so you don't get that 1st round pick next year
Think it’s an overpayment from Joe Douglas, but depends how long we get of Rodgers.
Moving from 13 to 15, when GB, NE also want OT, is risky.
But if we get 3 years of elite Rodgers, then it’s a great move.
Not sure why when we’ve got two back to back picks in R2, we’ve gave up the first one.
Be an interesting development and with the stud players like Hall, Sauce, Wilson… it’s worth a gamble for me. Zack Wilson would have wasted it.
you'll need to pray he doesn't go through his retirement BS again next off season. if it goes fairly badly he will.
I don't see trading for Aaron Rodgers as a risk when your QB is Zach Wilson. Even on his worst days, Rodgers is far better. I think he's still a top 5 QB in the league and most of last year was due toThe risk we have to take unfortunately.
Few rumours that he’s saying he can do 3 years. He wanted New York, so hopefully he doesn’t only give us 1-year, if if he does, he lets us know early so we bench him in the end.
Wouldn’t be shocked to see him want to mentor Wilson and train him up tbh. He seems the kind to want that.
I also think getting these picks show that the Packers aren't as set on Love long term as they are saying publicly. With more than likely 2 x 1st round picks next year, Green Bay will be able to move up for whatever QB they want, if Love doesn't perform. They are covering all bases.
They haven't said yet but only got a week to decide. I think they probably will because it isn't going to be that expensive for a QB since he has only made 1 start.are they taking loves 5th year option?

Didn't realise it would be as much as that tbf. Maybe not then.just over 20m is quite expensive if hes a dud
The Adams trade was the thing that sealed it for Rogers. Packers have failed to succession plan for Rogers. I agree that they will make do with Love but he isn’t going to be the answer. Getting a few decent draft picks isn’t going to help them if they waste them like they usually do.I don't see trading for Aaron Rodgers as a risk when your QB is Zach Wilson. 1) broken thumb
2) Packers having the worst receiver group in the league, the best of which was a rookie.
The Davante Adams trade by Green Bay was the trade where everyone lost. But this is a trade that suits both teams. Packers get a trade up in round 1 and 2 good picks (an early 2 and probably a late 1) for someone who was never going to play for them again. Jets get a QB who will win games.
