NFL 2022 Season

Yeah. Edmunds wasn't as good as Matt Milano who is in the same tier as Smith. We got to see them side by side. It's not really an argument imo.

Edwards idk, the Eagles regularly got eaten up over the middle but I also don't think that defense did enough to have guys be successful at times. I like Edward's at 5m. Edmunds at 15m I'm pretty lukewarm about.

Fwiw I love Smith the player but don't love Smith's deal and am going complete mad that the Ravens gave him the exact figures he wanted and are still trying to extract every last dollar from the Lamar deal. The Bears not signing him is totally fine but they aren't a better team for it at the minute.
Fair enough.

I'd counter that the combination of Edmunds and Edwards at their respective prices is a far better situation for Chicago than the alternative: Smith at the price he commands. Plus the Bears got a 3rd round pick for that trade iirc.

You a Bills fan?

Ravens. The third paragraph might read different now haha.

Ah yes. It was the reference to Milano that threw me.

As a Bengals fan, I'm surprised you paid up the amount Smith asked for. You have other areas of greater need, and LB isn't really a position that justifies blockbuster salaries anymore: even.in the AFC North!
Once they made the trade they basically had to do the deal. What bothers me is that they did it in 3 weeks without so much as saving a single dollar on what his reported asking price was. We're in off-season 3 of nickel and diming our QB. Maybe I'm crazy but that just seems disconnected from the NFL in 2023.

Couldn't agree more!

Do you think Jackson will hold out if he doesn't get an offer in FA?

Im thrilled to be honest.

The Packers have treated Rodgers like dirt for years. They’ve consistently just seen his ability and elected to go for defence knowing he’ll save them more often than not.

With the Jets he’s got Garrett Wilson, his main target, and a superstar elite RB in Breece Hall.

Just a shame we’re in the most difficult division again, but wildcard now has to be a very realistic thing.

Trading Rodgers is never a good decision, and there is never a right time to trade a QB as good as Rodgers.

He wasn't the problem. The players and coaching around him has been the problem.

I became a fan of the Green Bay Packers because of Aaron Rodgers, so it's a sad day.
I think it has to be time. And he was the problem last year. Yes in the past he's been blamed for failures elsewhere, especially when McCarthy was in charge, but that was not the case last year. He just wasn't very good and you can't behave like he does if you're not playing at the MVP level anymore.

It should be a sad day. It was time though.

I think there was a lot more to it. He had a broken thumb and only 1 decent receiver, who took half a season to get going

He is a massive cock.
