NFL 2024 Season

Exactly. A dangerous game to be playing. I mean they had written him off completely around week 4.

Well at least the Packers can absorb a dud a bit better than other teams. They're young and cheap and a well run organisation for the most part. But Love holds all the cards really, he knows they have the money and its a sparse QB market, so I reckon he's asking for a fair wedge

Apparently going to be the highest paid QB in the league. The Quarterback market is utterly mad
It’s such a tough situation because on one hand you have someone like Tua who is a thoroughly limited player and on the other if you let him go you can end up starting Josh Dobbs. I don’t even know where you draw the line and I don’t really envy the guys who have to. At some point someone is going to say “nah we’re good” and not pay an ok guy 50m a year though.

Who is they?

Regardless the Love deal is a little hasty but his play has been genuinely high level so I get it. I have more concerns with someone like Lawrence who has never actually played that well.

The resident Green Bay fan poster here plus the media at large. I don’t go on Packer forums so I don’t know what they were saying about him but I doubt if any of it was good until the light suddenly switched on for him in the second half of the season

Gotcha. I might be misremembering but I thought it was more growing pains and the whole offense being sloppy early on. That switch did flip in a big way though.

I thought he was very bad for 5 or 6 games but I clearly know very little about American Football and could not have been more wrong about Love.

I have no worries whatsoever about him getting a big contract.
