The Rams are the only team that are close to the Saints imo. You can never count the Patriots out, but I predict the Superbowl winner will come out of the Superdome next week.

What I like about the patriots is they are always there. Not once have they been a pick this year yet quietly they have done what they always do . We are lucky. To have lived in an era of Ferguson , Messi, Belichick and Brady .

Not sure if I heard right last night but I'm sure one of the presenters on last nights sky NFL coverage said that NE have only been behind for a total of only 7 minutes in all their homes games, if true that's remarkable.

One asterisk on the Belichick/Brady accomplishments over the years is the utter cluelessness of the franchises in the AFC East.

Since 2001 there have been like 50 different starting QB's in the AFC East. None of them really very good.

And their reward is shown in regards to the rest of their weighted schedule. They always get a bunch of games against other top finishers of the prior year... hell, they almost played Peyton as often after the Colts moved from the AFC East as they did when he was there.

oh, and there's this from an article posted in July of 2018 (just before "they fell off the cliff" this season):

The Patriots are 71-19 since 2003 in the AFC East. That’s a .788 winning percentage. Outside the division, they are 118-32 (.786).

Playing the rotating divisional games as well as remaining slots against the best teams of the prior year. This year they got to face Chicago, Houston and KC - all of which won their divisions - as well as wildcard Indy. Won them all, though three were at Foxboro. Lost to Pittsburgh who just missed the playoffs at 9-6-1.

Four teams left, including some great QBs, good coaches, and a few decent defenses. Rank them (let's leave out RBs, because they're irrelevant, amirite?)

I'm a little unsure on the defenses

HC:
Belichek
...
Payton
Reid, McVay

QB:
Brady
Brees
...
Mahomes
...
Goff

Defense:
Rams
...
Saints, Patriots
Chiefs

Didn't even know NFL UK was in Southampton tonight.
Sake.
Would have deffo popped along to that, I enjoyed the last one I went to.

Saints were the best defense of the remaining teams throughout the season. You could argue they were the best defense in the league other than the Ravens. The Rams have Pitt's own Aaron Donald, but underachieved as a whole this year for me. This is why the Saints were clearly the favorites coming into the playoffs, and nothing has happened for me to think otherwise.

I see the Saints coming out of the NFC. An absolute toss up in the AFC. The Patriots are terrible but I never bet against Belichick. At some point Andy Reid is due to win a meaningful game, perhaps it's this weekend. If you held a gun to my head I'd take the Pats to somehow find a way to scrape a win

Saints D is much better now than at the start of the season, but a good scheme can walk all over them. Did you see 1stQ Sunday? I don't fancy a neutral site meeting against a Belichek-coached team.
