Horrific game to watch last night. No flow to the game. Coaches challenge on a meaningless 3 yard pass on first down in the first quarter! Flags all over the field seemingly every play. A 15 yard flag because a guy tackled the QB too hard. So many commercial breaks. Where does it stop?

It's a good reminder why I love the EPL so much. If I didn't have a deep knowledge base of the NFL, a big money fantasy league, numerous other gambling interests and it wasn't part of the fabric of American autumns, I'd be hard pressed to watch any of this nonsense any more.

I picked Steelers as I like the blue collar industrial history of Pittsburgh. And it's economic collapse in the 80's rings true for many northern industrial towns.

Pittsburgh is actually kind of boomtown right now after east coasters discovered that the city is kind of nice and you can buy a house for 1/5th the price of NYC, Boston et.al.

If you are looking for true ecomonic misery, Buffalo.

Yes, but it that really driven by the emotional misery of living in Buffalo? If it were pleasant maybe it would have jobs.

Suggest you do a little more research. The Steelers are the NFL's equivalent of the RS. Their coach has zero class, their players have zero class, they have a history of making dirty, career-threatening hits and generally cheating a lot.

Plus their QB ALLEGEDLY narrowly escaped a rape charge by ALLEGEDLY paying the victim huge sums of cash to shut up and disappear. Allegedly.

Not a team I would want to associate myself with.

If it's blue-collar industrial history plus economic collapse that resonates with you, you're a Detroit Lion. The club that gave us arguably the best running back to ever play the game.

He's baaaaaaack.
