He cannot win it by himself and thus the whole QB's are only elite if they win rings is nonsense. they have been close on a numerous of occasions only to be let down by kickers or stupid coaching.

Trent Dilfer won a Superbowl and he is average at best.

Mahomes is a long way from the finished article in my opinion. Some of his decision making is naive and some of those "special" throws are pure luck. If it wasn't for every commentator and sports analyst acting like teenage girls around him instead of staying professional they would catch more of his mistakes.

Rivers stats this year have been immense. He will no doubt finish on his best season ever. 27 for 27 in a run of two games and even his passing tonight was pretty accurate.

This is from a guy who fecking hates the Chargers and who thinks Rivers should have moved on years ago which he probably would have done if it were not for the football team he has as a family.

Mahomes has legit badass talent. No telling what he *will* do, but his takent is on par with Rodgers (probably also a lesser known guy like Fouts*). Listening to the soft spoken Aikmsn talk about him only confirms the eye test.

*Actually heard someone compare him to Tarkenton, and although I never watched Tarkenton play that seems reasonable.

Tarkenton had an amazing ability to extend the plays with his scrambling, something Mahomes has done quite well this season.

I think what's lost (especially among white men watching NFL, let's be honest), is that Mahomes doesn't just "create plays with his feet" but instead he creates space to pass from his feet. He's not a running QB, he's like Rodgers and Elway and Tarkenton (or so I'm told).

That's not what Im saying. Players in ANY position can get into the HOF, so clearly and obviously its not decided on SB victories.

So you think he isn't good enough then? Despite the numbers he puts up every season and the fact he is continually ranked in the top 5 and is close to mahomes for the mvp this season

Also the big conversation for a long time in the US is, that it is hard for QB's to become eligible for the hall of fame without SB rings. Its been a long time debate hence my comment above.
 

The last 5 minutes of the Browns Broncos game was total coaching malpractice and it was awesome. I think the NFL is the one league where terrible play can be just as fun.
