Probably 3 years left of prime Donald/Ramsey. You can't hold back at the most important position. Stafford may not make them the best in the NFC, but he makes them better for the next 2-3 years and gives them more of a chance.

Also unlike the NBA, you can get out of cap hell in a year or 2.

The Saints next few seasons will be interesting from a cap hell standpoint. I don't think any team has ever gone to the lengths they have.
