I'll be that guy: make the case without stating the number of Super Bowls he's won.

I'm just firmly against this idea that winning football games is something a QB gets majority credit for. I mean did Brady play some safety today too? Basketball I'm with it because Jordan and LeBron dominate both ends but this Brady thing I just can't get behind.

Just stop

Yeah. That Messi feller isn't as good as they say he is.

I mean, he's crap at defending corners and doesn't cover his defence enough.

Who is the GOAT then?
I'm not sure there is an easy answer. The best QB I've ever seen in person, and I've seen Brady quite a few times, was Manning. Including all the games I've watched on TV it is Rodgers because he didn't have much of a game the one time he came to Baltimore. And in 10 years it could easily be Mahomes because despite tonight he's insane.

Player all time is different because the game has evolved so much. Jim Brown, Jerry Rice and Lawrence Taylor are all guys historically who deserve looks plus all the great QBs from past eras whose stats can't match up.

I just can't get behind football being this simplified to QB=win.

You can win a superbowl with a bad safety, you can't with a bad QB though

This is the thing though. There really isn't a case to be made other than he was on great teams. Teams win Super Bowls.

Hard disagree about Manning, and I’m a lifelong University of Tennessee fan, so I watched his entire career. He was always a guy who saved his best for when it mattered the least. He spent years padding stats and racking up records against crap teams, but against the best competition, he often lacked the ability to play within himself. He was constantly guilty of trying too hard in the biggest games, oftentimes to the detriment of his teams.

The funny thing about you Tom is you've never actually responded to a post of mine with anything resembling a counter point. Just saying I'm dumb. Wonderful stuff.
I have this rule where I dont argue with idiots as they tend to drag me down to their level and then beat me with experience.

Make of that what you will
