That was dumb luck...I think what we saw tonight is far better.
Perhaps - Odell is a freak with those hands for sure. This was some pretty darned clutch dumb luck, though. Timing is everything.
Tyree and Odell's catches were both absolutely sick.

Just caught the highlights package of the game. He was practising those catches in the pre game warmup and catching them....and then caught an even better one in the game. Damn!!
Tyree's helmet catch is the best I've ever seen, even if all luck, but I've never seen Swann play, never seem the immaculate reception, don't remember Dwight Clark's catch...

That's the thing for me...it was all skill and athleticism.
Not only was he being mugged by the defender, but he was also able to have the concentration to stay in bounds and reach well behind his body to pull it in. One handed catches are always impressive...that was sick on an entirely different level. No bobble at all. Gripped the ball out of mid air with two fingers and his thumb...well behind his body. Pulled it in without even the hint of a bobble. Absolutely incredible the skill and athleticism on display there.
