I started following the Seahawks in 82 because they wore blue shirts/white kecks. Man it's been a hard slog until the last couple of years

Had to change the colors first, mate. I remember those kits. BIG numbers, too. I've always liked the hats - the old Jacksonville Bulls did much the same thing.

If Everton had NFL kits, they'd be the Colts. Hurts to admit it, but its true. Just replace the horseshoe on the hat with Rupert's tower. Voila.

My first dog was called Seattle.... My dad chose the name... My dad is the reason I support Everton...

Will have to have a closer look soon...
Coming from a Seattlite..

Case for Seattle:
  • Athletic, exciting and all-around scary defence
  • Charismatic and accomplished manager
  • Quarterback, where the spotlight tends to fall, is genuinely a decent guy
  • Current champions with a chance (depending on today and coming weeks) at repeating
  • Blue

Case against Seattle:
  • Supporters can be a bit Newcastle at times (but that's true for all of Am. Football)
  • You'll automatically be labelled a glory hunter
  • Seattle is many, many time zones away from England, so watching home games may be inconvenient
  • If you know yer history, you might be drawn to a team like Green Bay (also a decent shout like)
As for American Football as a sport, the action is packaged into short intervals which can generate a lot of excitement, but these are admittedly surrounded by a lot of down time. Mind you, there are boring stretches in most footy matches, but there's usually the lingering hope that something boss could happen at any moment. In American Football, there are simply times when nobody is on the field, and that can get to people. My advice is to sit down on a nice couch with beer, snacks and friends and turn on an absurdly wide TV. the breaks between game play will dissolve away, leaving only the bursts of action for you to yell 'TOUCHDOWN' like the loudest, drunkest, most obnoxious American you can imagine. It's rather cathartic.

Eight minutes left in the third. Tom Brady. Just saying.

We've seen this before. Mo is with the Ravens, but...

Well done. Basically, it's a series of set pieces, and inches always matter. You have to understand that the downs really mean a lot - they are the key to possession.
