Ok so no Digne and no Delph. I don't know what's going behind closed doors, but he has to play now. I mean come on

That’s the issue for me. He’s a young lad and none of us have any idea how good he is really, so I have no problem at all with the manager saying he’s just not up to playing in the PL. I do have a pretty big problem with us going into a season with only one left back though. Also begs the question that if we was purchased for the future and was not deemed to be “cover” for Digne then why the heck was a specialist left back capable of providing said cover not brought in?
Do you not think Delph been Injured, that might change it ? Then again he may play Godfrey there, or then again who knows what we will doIf he's not in the squad vs 19th place Burnley he's not starting vs 1st place Chelsea.

I've heard Unsy is being put on a crash diet to make his third Everton debut over the festive period.wouldn’t be surprised to see pistone brought in on a short term deal before poor Niels gets his chance

I said earlier in this thread. He had a poor game at Newcastle as did every Everton player that day. In his only other appearance against top flight opposition (West Ham in the league cup) he barely gave Yarmelenko a kick. He deserves another chance. But if it wasn’t going to come at Burnley, I can’t see it being against Chelsea. That’s the issue for me. I get that, and I’m certainly not saying he’s not at the required level because I like what I’ve seen and I expected him to play. I’m just saying that I understand him looking decent against West Ham doesn’t necessarily mean he’s ready to step in longer term. Plenty of young players have done fine in early games but then slipped down the leagues so I’m not going overboard based on limited showings. I find it crazy that we’ve got nobody else if that’s the case though.I said earlier in this thread. He had a poor game at Newcastle as did every Everton player that day. Come Saturday, we'll be hearing how no one could have foreseen that filling in against Brady and Lowton isn't quite the same as keeping out Pulisic and James.Insane that we’re going to be playing Ben Godfrey as a left back hahaha. Proper Pulis that.
