He looks good and a good buy but....

Playing devils advocate here- is he scoring goals because we've got some creativity in the side i.e. Pienaar and Gibson which we didnt have before January?! Strange that Saha has been scoring in a very creative Spurs side and he couldnt hit a barn door with us before January....

yeah saha didn't get as much chances as jelly is now, but by **** he had enough and squandered a lot this season. also with confidence his mobement had stopped where as jelly is always moving around inside the box creating chances for himself. Like saha, genuine talent but the move was good for all parties... except defoe

My Dad was in the press conference yesterday and said Moyes called Jelavic an "assassin"....

Apparently 4 rows back from him at the match was Amanda Holden....so he's now got a bad neck.

Saha had chances, and he fluffed basically every single on of them. He has also remembered how to run since joining Spurs, he hadn't done that for a while with us.

He looks to be a Moyes bargain. I think he's just going to get better and better.

I'm made up he's doing so well especially after all those who doubted his ability.

I doubted him, but then again he scored less in Scotland than some who had flopped down here and that was what I was going on. Looks a great natural instinct finisher so far but Stuart Barlowesque when he has time to think what he is doing.

“He’s a bit of a silent assassin,â€￾ says Moyes

I don't think Saha can lead the line, he prefers to roam. We needed someone who held their position. Jelavic's natural game suits our style, where Spurs play a more fluid game and players interchange position which suits Saha. In the end I think Louis lost confidence doing a job he wasn't built for. Jelavic is looking the part.

Hes made us exactly what we were for me a really good team who didnt have a centre forward. I always thought everything was there to be really good team bar someone to hit the onion bag, how many times over the past couple of seasons have we created chances and not taken them in the games, or smashed teams and just havnt been able to put them to the sword.

For me i think we still need to capitalise and add to our strikeforce. Jelly is a good player, but if history has shown us anything its that relying on just one centre forward is a dangerous thing, between injuries, fatiuqe and predictability - lets not forget he is the new kid on the block, the league will be more aware of him next year. I would pick up another forward in the summer - someone with different qualites and not necessarily one to lead the line, more a poacher. Personally i would go for Steven Fletcher at Wolves, a very underated player.

Nice post. I like Fletcher too. If we signed another good striker it would definitely give us another dimension and a foil for Jelavic... Do we have the money though? Sadly that''s probably a no!

No and no again!

Kris Boyd anyone.

Id take Bougarra on a free though.

Nope. Next plz.

From what I've seen of him he's decent. Outstanding goal against Aberdeen yesterday.

But he'd be no more than average in the Prem.

I keep saying it, but I swear to god I'd score 15-20 goals playing for Rangers or Celtic in that league.

Would be a v. Good buy I think. Moyes will only do a deal at the right money though.

We need to get in first with a offer accepted so it's then down to the player if o'niel matches the bid.
Can't see him choosing Sunderland over us even if they offer a little more wages.

Egg on faces for some!! Ha ha
