Personally id still play lukaku vs Norwich but I think people are saying lukakus been seeming a bit tired and jelavic should get a shot in a prem game

I think he would have had about 10 days rest by time the norwich game comes round, he will be totally rested by then.

No mate - that's what people are saying.

We're not allowed to judge new players after one game, but we can judge a god awful striker on one game where he slotted.

Apparently.

Thing is mate, Im not saying drop him, im saying rotate and rest, dunno why for every other position besides keeper and striker if you rotate its fine but for those two its assumed its dropping ;/

In this form he deserves a chance to stay and be rotated with Lukaku to keep him fresh. Trouble is how many times will he play like he did on Saturday and how long will it take to him to go crap again?

But lukaku would have had a rest thats why jelavic played in the cup.

For a player in his first full season as a starter mate at his age, ten days isn't a massive rest, i'd honestly rather rest him against norwich at goodsion where we should have more than enough to deal with without him, and get him back fully rested and fresh for the upcoming west brom and rs game where we need him to be at full tilt

I know mate - I was just playing devils advocate really.

I was very happy for him scoring his goals at the weekend, but I cannot forget how utter dirge he has been for over a year.

And then add to that it seems pretty clear we want rid of him.

I just wouldn't play him.

Im not arsed if he starts or not mate being frank, id just like lukaku given more rest as im worried to death about later int he season if he doesnt get a proper rest sometime, jela is done here for me, but if hes still here then use him, either that or go with kev up front for another way to give luka a rest

one week is plenty of time for the body to rest and re charge never mind 10 days, in fact about 2 to three days. he will be playing for 90 minutes a week, training will not be intense as they will already be at peak fitness. resting/not playing him even more could do more harm than good.

I disagree mate, id point to the fact most other teams have mid season breaks purely for the reason to combat a second half of the season fatigue on players

Karl Henry's pass for his first goal.

That'll never happen again in a month of Sunday's.

The lad looked good against QPR, but they were honestly the worst opposition I've seen at Goodison since...wait for it...QPR last season.

Yeh, but the finish against a very good keeper was top class, regardless of Karl Henry passing him the ball.
