How many goals do you expect for £3-5M? Bearing in mind we got £4m for Beckford who got 10. Anything over 11 a year isn't all that bad really for a 26 year old for that price.

Given his previous patchy record I'm expecting what Beckford contributed. Jelavic will struggle because we have a recognised penalty taker too - and that was his role at Rangers. He'd have to be hitting 15 in a season to get a clause triggered. Otherwise, what a re we paying a million a season for on top...just him starting 30 odd league games? Everton need to drive a hard bargain here. He's totally unproven at the top level.

I watch the live games...which are usually Rangers or Celtic versus some other ale house team.

Unless this player's been on a go-slow for the past 12 months looking for a move then I'm not seeing the dynamo you obviously see.

They hold all the aces, they know we will probably go down if we have to play Saha for the rest of the Season.

And why for a Club that has sold nearly 35m worth of assets struggling to find money for a Striker!

I dont think we should be doing business with that lot, it's true. However, the cost will determine whether this is a good move or not. It's a huge chance being taken if it's daft money...which i suspect it'll be given that Rangers have to square it with their fan base after talking his value up. He's not worth a massive chunk of our hard fought for transfer budget imo.

If he comes in then he gets the benfit of the doubt and my stuff in this thread can be bookmarked and brought up when he's firing us into Europe.

Never said he was a dynamo but the boy puts in a shift.
