Funny one this, as it can be odd to compare leagues via a CL game - as was pointed out to me to make a point, Shokdran Mustafi won the WC. That doesn’t make him a world class player apparently.

Also, I feel Vlasic played like a gnome on ecstacy for us. We can do better.

Comparing teams is pointless but comparing players in the game isn't.

Vlasic played good vs Real Madrid
Did Mustafi play well for Germany in that WC?

Agreed. It was why it was absolutely the right decision to send him out on loan.

But we should be pleased he is doing well there. He is still only 20 remember but is absolutely bossing it. It may be a crap league but is it any worse than the Dutch or Belgian leagues. He has been one of the top players in the league so far this season and has win back his place in the National squad that came runners up in the world cup.

If he comes back to us a better player then surely that's a good thing. Silva either fancies him and he stays as back up to Siggy, or he doesn't and we sell him and get more at least twice the amount had we sold him this summer. Either way we win.

Just don't get the negativity in here.

why is it that if you say anything that could be construed as positive in this thread people jump down your throat with "tinpot league" or "couldn't do that in the prem". he's made some stupid comments that annoyed a lot of people (including me) yes but people were on his back before then. he's our player for god sake, why do ye have to be so negative. why do ye see a player on loan doing well and your first thought is to complain. there's literally nothing bad that can come of him having a good loan spell. i'm aware we have a reputation as a negative fanbase (and a forum environment like this only compounds that) but it's kind of ridiculous at this point

bit of a pointless rant but it's been getting on my nerves

All our players were crap last season. If silva believes in him. He will get him back just like he kept lookman

Just one clarifying point: Brands. Either Brands likes him or not. That seems to be the remit of a DoF; to not make wholesale changes to the squad due to the whims of a manager who can be changed at a moment's notice.

It was Vlasic who demanded a loan, he said he didn't want to waste another year as a squad player for us.

I think he’s been playing more centrally under CSKA (as more of a right central attacking midfielder) bodes well for the future - could be a back up for Sigurdsson, certainly would favour him over Dowell as it stands
