How can you survive in the PL as a mid/attacking mid with 10% out of 100% (guessing that’s your rating) in skill?
Don't take the numbers too literally. Just my observation watching him live that he does everything at approx 5/10. I took the trouble to watch him play against Roma having read rave reviews on here, and I was honestly hoping to see progress, sadly I was disappointed, he can't seem to be able to cope with being pressed when in possession.
Anyway I hope he proves me wrong, he wouldn't be the 1st player to do so.

..I like him. The doubt I have is that Silva sent him on loan which suggests to me that he wasn’t overly keen. Its all conjecture, but in effect, Silva kept Dowell and sent Vlasic on loan.

That's the worry, At the end of the say, Silva has been right so far this season with regards to selection and his faith in some players is paying off.

Can't help but wonder if Vlasic would have been a great option to bring in if Siggy's injury keeps him out for a bit.

I hope he does come back a better player, just don't think he has the basic skills at a high enough standard to do so. Silva apparently had him behind Dowell in the number 10 pecking order., and I trust his judgement above those who have only seen him on TV in a 3rd rate league.

Champions league isn’t a 3rd rate league

But why do you think him scoring winning goal against current CL winner any playing for 2.team in world cup against Spaim where he came in for one of best Barcelona players and currently miedfielders in world, is him playing against 3rd rate teams. Do you think Bournemouth, Burnley etc. are better teams than Spain, England, Real Madrid, Roma, Zenith? Vlasic is 21 with very good CV so far, and he will be be a great player (un)fortunately not for Everton.
Thing is Croatia has much better players than Everton, and Croatian manager is awarded 2 best manager this year in world. And you re still conviced he is not good enough for Everton tram. Delusional much?

Which position was he in? Attacking centre or box to box?
Difficult to say mate. It was a very open game when he came on (1-1) as both teams went for the win. I would say he was probably more box to box. He played more centrally than out wide but wasn't that far advanced that you'd call him a number 10.

So Vlasic is the new Besic?

As in, he's clearly not in our managers plans but some fans have an odd attraction to him.
Managers can change their minds. I'm not saying Marco will, but if the lad continues to do well on loan I'll guarantee he'll want to have another look at him in the summer. I'm sure both Marco and Marcel will discuss it together before coming to a decision. Based on what they have done so far I'll support their decision.

He's only just turned 21 and is back in the Croatia squad. He came on last night to replace Rakitic, arguably a world class player. This wasn't a "giving a kid a run out" situation. Croatia had to win and were chasing the game, and they turned to Vlasic to replace 100 cap and regular Barcelona starter Rakitic. Any other club in world football would be proud of the lad. For some reason, not our fans.

I saw him last week in the champions league, wasn't too impressed.

Coming on in an upmarket friendly won't change my opinion

He was poor in the Roma game last week. Probably his worst game of the season. But good for you, making up your mind on a 21 year old based on one match against one of the best teams in Europe.

Luckily for the player the Croatian coach is a lot more open minded. And luckily for us you will not be deciding if he has any future at Everton. Silva and Brands will decide on that and I trust their judgement a damn sight more than yours.

This is exactly what I meant.

People got too defensive when Besic got negative feedback.
