2018/19 Nikola Vlasic

I get the impression from certain quarters that just because he went on loan means he will somehow be automatically pre-disposed to not wanting to play for us again at the end of the loan period. We can't assume that.

Just as we can't assume that Zouma/Gomes automatically will want to be at Everton next year.

Vlasic is our player, we hold his registration so he either goes on loan again next season, leaves in which case we should make a decent profit on him, or returns and plays a part in the first team squad.

We should at least be on the fringes of the top six in one of the worlds biggest leagues, so in theory he should have plenty still to prove with us, and be happy to get the chance to do so.

Going on loan seems good for his development, and I wouldn't read too much into any moaning from him on the matter, and certainly not until Brands/Silva get the chance to review the situation again at the end of the year.

A run of decent enough performances for CSKA Moscow hasn't turned him into a world-beater. Getting capped by Croatia is certainly a great thing for his career given the calibre of player they tend to have, but he needs to prove himself on a bigger stage over a longer term.

I thought that Silva wanted to keep him at Everton this year as back up but Vlasic insisted that if that was the case he wanted to go on loan which is fair enough I think. I do wonder if Silva putting him on the naughty step means he doesn't want to come back at all anymore.
Either way him doing so well can only be good for us even if only results in extra £££ when we sell him

That may have been the case (him wanting to go on loan) and that may be the reason why Silva told him to train alone

I think @Nymzee @bluestevon and @BlueToff are the ones who are watching him the most this season (aside from Croatians on here?).

From their posts it seems like he's playing with a vibrant attack minded team and seems full of confidence. That's really what we need as well as putting in strong consistent performances to get in the croatian squad (id say the same for onyekuru).

It may well be that Silva has them earmarked for summer sales as they dont fit with the type of player he wants in his strategy. It also may be that hes planning to keep them long term...or the 3rd option may be that he wants to send them on loan again.

All we can do is speculate.

But, we need to hope they have great seasons so were in a good position whatever happens.

Im impressed with how hes doing on paper.

In which case good riddance and sell him come summer mate, as a club trying to bridge a huge gap, without team unity it's gonna be impossible, he isn't starting ahead of siggy, and the mentality shown would spit the dummy out the pram again should he be in then drop out the first eleven.

Can also do without his frankly bell end of a sister doing her god is great act and acting like her bro is a wide begotten victim every five minutes.

Yeah he's been boss in Russia, big woopty doo, it's a cack league - talented lad no doubt, thinks he's deserving of more than he is though as ultimately he's done squat before arriving here

I've only seen him in 2-3 CL games, Zat. He's played well in all of them, but that's about as much as I can say.

Think the move has been a good one for him.

I do wonder if Spurs were thinking this way before signing Modric from the cack Croatian league.

Probably not mate, as in the current market trends the fee spurs paid would have been about 45m+ for modric who'd been amazing for three years and had the likes of Barca etc after him, meanwhile vlasic was bought off the back of one decent game in all reality against, good player with potential but thinking he's the next modric is funny
