Think Vlasic fits back into the side perfectly if Silva plays the 3-1-2/diamond 4-2.
Instead of having a focal point in the centre (CF), it has to rely on movement and rotation
which really plays into the strengths of players like Sig, Rico, Vlasic and Lozano (hypothetical).
The high press doesn't suit a static position.
Basically a CF is a waste unless subbed to take advantage of certain situations.
Vlasic as an attacking pivot is probably better than Sig.
Sigs strengths are more box to box.
I can see many goals from Vlasic to Sig, ghosting into the box, or on the counter where Sig has the drive, skill and pace to counter from deep.
Having the focus off Sig through the centre allows Sig the freedom to become much more effective.
Vlasic could potentially be as good a foil for Sig as anyone.
With Digne and Coleman/Kenny providing width, its up to Gomes and Vlasic/Sig to orchestrate scoring chances for Rico, Sig/Vlasic and Lozano.
I reckon as an attacking set up, in two to three seasons, these guys have the potential to be as good as anything in the league (with Lookman, Bernard, a CF and another DM./l;. as back up):
Rico----------------------Lozano
--------------Vlasic----------------
Sig----------Gana-------Gomes
