CSKA just lost to Plzen. Agree to disagree.
Plzen would likely play for the promotion spots in Championship. They are great tactically, can almost always get the right result somehow. Some of their players could play a part in a team playing in a top 5 league. They were able to beat Napoli twice, also to beat Atletico, Sporting, Lyon and Shaktar and take a draw with Schalke, Roma, Milan and Villarreal during last 5 years.

Seen nothing of this guy to think he'll ever make it here. He's comparatively slow for the league, pretty much totally all one foot, shows limited desire to work hard and technically not anywhere near exceptional which given the aforementioned issues would be required to make it at Everton.

His performances for CSKA and Croatia despite the odd goal in inferior environs show nothing to change my mind. Yes I know he scored against an awful real Madrid despite playing poorly.

We'll make a profit, just, that's the only benefit.
Agree. Not watched him a lot but when I have reminds me a bit of Macfadden.

Most were 5 years ago. And in the Europa league usually.

The Russian league is miles better than the Championship, you can't seriously think that the sixth league in the European coefficients is worse than the second tier English league? The Russian league has been on the rise in the previous years and there was always at least one Russian team that had a good run in Europe, something we couldn't do. The two leagues are just worlds apart from each other.

Both Russian teams are bottom of their groups and in the Europa Spartan are level with Rangers.

You're overrating the Russian league quite a bit.

how far would norwich and leeds go in the champions/europa league? we couldn't even get out of our europa league group lmao

think you're overrating the championship quite a bit, or just taking the piss(?)

Still a young player and will continue to improve.

But, if he was not an Everton player would you recommend that we should try to sign him... I don't think so really . Would any of the teams above in the league be interested in him... unlikely.

Don't know about that. If we were linked with a 21 year old, regarded as the best player in the Russian league, who had just broken into the midfield of the World cup runners up and had scored the winner against Real Madrid I'd be excited.

I think Vlasic can come back and offer something different to what we have. The Russian league isn't the strongest league but it's decent and him going there and playing well means his confidence will be high when he returns. Put the league into context everyone will be happy when/if Onyekuru can play for us and he has spent the last 2 seasons playing in the Belgian and Turkish leagues which in my opinion are both inferior to the Russian league. The lad just needs to learn to keep his mouth shut and advise people around him to do the same.

Loan is great to give him confidence in skills, dribbling, passing etc but it can be bad if it reinforces his "I'm the star" style. He's not hazard and is minus player if he doesn't play defence, run and tackle. He's been star in hajduk, cska, croatia youth and needs to adjust to playing in a side where least3, 4 players are better until he becomes the best.
