2017/18 Nikola Vlasic

Whoa there, buddy. There's no great team he can just walk into. There are several reasons to keep him out of the team. Yannick Bolaisse, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Aaron Lennon, Tom Davies, Ademola Lookman, Wayne Rooney, and several others. If Davy Klaassen can't get a game, and he cost upwards of 20M as an established pro that led Ajax to the Europa league final, why would Vlasic get to walk into the team? I like the kid, think he's good, would like to see him play more, but he's got several other guys in front of him that he's not show to be better than YET.

He'll get opportunities probably as soon as next game. I'd personally play him ahead of Lennon a bit to see how he does, but it's not exaggerate how great he is.

Other than Gylfi and Rooney, he's better than every player you've listed and has already shown that when given games

Send him on loan. Now. Any Championship club who really needs playe like him will do. Kid is mentally strong and can take it. He just want to play football.
And lets face it, Big Frog will never change.

Vlasic looks like a real prospect. He came on at Newcastle and did well and also played well against Burnley.

There's a lot on Sam's plate at the moment but I sure hope we play this lad. He is more skillful than Davies and he offers a load more
offensively. The older players, in midfield and up-front, have had their chance and offer little. Vlasic would do a top job linking midfield to whoever is playing Robinson Crusoe at no.9

I think Vlasic looked very decent but the odds don't seem to be in his favour now.

Perhaps he spoke with Sam and stated his heart lies elsewhere because otherwise he surely would've been given some minutes.

I think he's just been trying out every option to be honest. That's why Lookman, Vlasic, Sandro have been given a whirl. To a greater extent Lennon and Davies too.

It may be that Vlasic is desperately unhappy at Everton and has asked Sam as to the possibility of leaving in January. I would not be surprised if a few more attack-minded players want out (Lookman?). Whilst we repair the near irreversible damage to our club wrought by that fat Dutchman, there is simply no room for expansive football (and hence players, like Vlasic, Lookman, Mirallas etc who desire that style).

So get rid of two of our arguably biggest talents just so the fat slob can keep his unbeaten start going? No chance, you've got to be playing these two more. If they leave then we will undoubtedly regret it.

I think a loan will be best for him at a club where he is likely to get more minutes, if zaha leaves palace, then perhaps that could be an option for him. if he does well then we know we have a player on our hands.

I'm frustrated that Vlasic and Lookman aren't getting a game but particularly in Vlasic's case, I think people are panicking a bit early in terms of his future. He's been here a few months and is only 19, after making a step up from a Croatian side to a top 7 PL club. If we were 18th and still doing poorly then people may have cause for concern but we're no longer in that position and Vlasic doesn't really have a leg to stand on if he starts kicking off about not playing at the moment. He'll be on a long term contract and we paid around £10m for him. He clearly has a lot of talent and the club will recognise this.

I think he's been unlucky, but in Allardyce's case, he will just be playing it safe while this unbeaten run continues. As much as it frustrates some of our fans at the moment as it's not exciting, once we're completely clear of the mess we were in, we'll start to see him play more attacking and giving the likes of Vlasic time on the pitch. Allardyce isn't going to risk anything at this moment and unfortunately Lookman and Vlasic will be the ones that suffer until we are around the 40 point mark.

I’m not saying I want to get rid of those players, I’m just saying they’ll get minimum game team at Everton and I can understand them wanting to move on to greener pastures.
The Fat Dutchman ruined Everton. We are a ‘bottom 14’ club for the foreseeable...the football style we play now, we will be playing for a long time as each season will be about survival. Under such circumstances, there is no room to nurture young precocious, adventurous attacking talent. Safety first is the mantra going forward. I don’t like it; but it’s reality. I think people underestimate the damage wrought by fatty Koeman... he has brought our club to its knees.

In Sam we trust...

I suspect it's the defensive side of his game that makes Samuel unwilling to play him, but every inept attacking display, like the other day when we barely managed to string 3 passes together against relegation-fodder surely makes it more likely that he'll be given an opportunity sooner rather than later.

Was he not injured yesterday?? As for Sam doesn't trust him defensively shouts, he took him on at ht at Newcastle when they ran riot down the left hand flank in the first half.

Nothing to see hear. Will see plenty of him in the second half of season
