Allegedly, but likely.

if we were sheff utd fans, then i might be 'onside' but i cant see it just yet.

if it transpires that we have bid for benficas half of the player and are still in negotiations over the third party stake, which is what is holding up the full signing then maybe the club should announce to the rest of europe that we are struggling in the home straight to get it finalised and that we can be easily gazzumped.

And as late as Friday the club were expecting clearance for Fernandes to be in their squad for the Blackburn game.

impossible isnt it? doesnt a player need clearance 24 hours before a game kicks off?

Agents are to blame, how the hell is it right for them to have any stake in a player, Teves fiasco is only the beginning, now it looks like it's going to stop us signing Manny, football's [Poor language removed] lads, anyone for tennis !

my opinion is that i am not "being such a cock"

the club didnt give us minute by minute commentary on the jagielka signing, and nor should they have, it dragged on for a while but so what.

im not special enough to the club for their consideration at anytime let alone when i stamp my feet or some hack dreams up a story about players.

the club will do what the owners/bosses want, i cant demand anything.

ESPN (maybe Dylan will like that one better ;) )

Everton have been stunned by Manuel Fernandes' decision to join Valencia - less than 24 hours after he was their guest at yesterday's home game with Blackburn.

The Benfica midfielder even spent an hour with chairman and owner Bill Kenwright assuring the Merseysiders that he would be joining them, before apparently heading home.

In fact, Fernandes flew to Valencia, and now looks certain to join them for a £12million fee.

He had already successfully completed a medical at Goodison Park, and the contracts - which included issues of third-party ownership - were being studied by Premier League officials.

Well it seems to me that you are, So fancy that.

The OS seem to enjoy saying that Fernandes is on his way, Moyes has said it, Ian Ross has said it, Alan Irvin has said it. But now it seems another club has got him and we say nothing. So are we not going to announce anything about why the deal has fallen through?

DO yo think the fans are going to be satisfied that this quality player has slipped through our fingers? Do you think the fans are going to not think conspiracy?

evidence please.

i dont know what anyone thinks except me, the fans can think what they like, but when fans start talking what is in my opinion "unfounded bollocks" i reserve the right to have a good chuckle.
