I'm not an expert but think the pyramid such as it is only goes down to step 10. The second division of the county leagues. Below that there is no direct promotion you have to apply I think.Sorry if this has been asked, but I was looking at how far down the league system goes and seen that it goes down to the National League feeder leagues, so equivalent of Division 11 to 13 or so with the likes of the Liverpool Premier league or the West Lancashire football League.
So if the lowest FA football is Sunday League, are there stages of football that are in between Sunday League and those feeder leagues?
From reading it, level 10 is the consistent cut off across the country.I'm not an expert but think the pyramid such as it is only goes down to step 10. The second division of the county leagues. Below that there is no direct promotion you have to apply I think.
Depends on ground suitability and budget etc.
This might have changed though.

I suppose it depends on the clubs ambition perhaps? From reading it, level 10 is the consistent cut off across the country.
There are feeder leagues to that level 10 in some County FAs where you have to finish top 5 and meet certain ground criteria.
Whether you have to enter Level 10 via those feeder leagues I don't know. I'm guessing it's up to the individual County FAs.
One feeder League is the West Lancashire football league with 3 divisions in it, so they are Level 11 to 13. Euxton Villa were promoted from level 11 to 10 last season. I think they had to install a small stand to meet the necessary criteria.
What confuses me though is Leagues like the Mid Lancashire football league which sounds like the equivalent to the West Lancs fl, only the Mid Lancs isn't a feeder league?
Some of the teams there have a great set up and have been going for 50 to 100 years, so they're more than Sunday league surely? Yet they're not in the feeder leagues, so I'm thinking that there must be a stage in between?
Probably yes. I suppose as well ambition is financially driven. I've heard it mentioned that wages can be high in non league. What is classed as high and what league they mean I don't know. Maybe it's too risky for clubs to be ambitious?I suppose it depends on the clubs ambition perhaps?
Bath City v Farnborough in National League South for me this afternoon.
Physical capacity yes, but a safety certificate for only c3500. Average gate just over 1000 though a couple of seasons ago they got 3500 for a League game with Torquay and that felt pretty full.Bath City v Farnborough in National League South for me this afternoon.
Also freezing. Bath City 0 Farnborough 1. Just about deserved. Fans running out of patience with Bath manager Gerry Gill but you be fair to him he has a small squad and injuries to several key players.Bath City v Farnborough in National League South for me this afternoon.
I saw Bristol rovers there once and there must have been 5000 there but it was packed. Not the safest feeling as I recall.Physical capacity yes, but a safety certificate for only c3500.
