Not A Transfer Rumour..... Wayne Rooney

The more I think about it the more I think Man United won't want to sell him to any one of the other top 3 teams. So much has/is gone/going on this summer that next season will be closer than ever. I just can't see it.

Seriously, where would we get the money for him? Only way we could afford Wayne Rooney would be if he waited out his contract and then agreed to a MAJOR cut in his wages.

I mean, I'm sure he could afford to do that, but he's a mug if he does. He should make as much as he can right now and come back to Everton when he's older for a season or two while he can still do a job. Rooney partnering Francisco Junior in the centre of midfield, oh baby!

We are going to have about an extra 120 million come our way over the next three years, Fellaini could possibly be sold for in excess of 20 million pounds.

Buying Rooney would really work for us, could the media continue to ignore us if he was banging them in every week?

if wayne bought everton, then wanted to sign himself, would he have to pay utd to buy himself?!

haha can you imagine the negotiations. there would be 3 seats and he'd keep moving between one another acting as both chairman and player.

The answer i guess is yes, but i'm sure it would be easier for him to just buy out his united contract, otherwise he'll get pissed off at united prizing him out of a dream move, of which he will then reject the offer and look for a new striker

...whilst playing striker.

the other question is, if he did buy himself from united, would he be paying his wages from his bank account back into his bank account? may look a tad dodgy

I'm pretty certain Rooney will go to Arsenal or PSG to be honest. If Arsenal sign both him and Fellaini, they'll be title contenders next season

i think both players will (rightly) feel that would be a bad step in their career. unless arsenal are buying all the other stars they're linked with but i don't see it

To be honest, Arsenal need 3 things.

1. A striker to bang in goals (A la Henry)
2. A strong midfielder to control the centre (A la Vierra)
3. A Decent Goalkeeper (A la Seamen)

Rooney and Fellaini tick two of those boxes. Combine them with a good keeper and I think they could snatch the league.

If we have Fellaini and Rooney at Everton, I don't think we'd win the league or anything, but I reckon we'd be in the CL hunt

Yeah such a judas, saving the club from relegation and all.

I've never really been angry at him for leaving, just more depressed about it really.

The fact he was an Everton fan made it considerably harder to swallow as well. We're pretty much the same age, so I remember seeing him coming in and thinking it was really cool. Here was a young Everton fan scoring goals for the club and making a name for himself. I know you shouldn't get attached to footballers because they can leave at any time and it's not like I know him or anything. It's stupid in some ways how we as football fans let ourselves get so emotionally invested in players sometimes, but it is what it is.

But hey, he was 18 and he must have been going through a lot of conflicting emotions at the time. Maybe a part of him wanted to stay but he felt obligated to leave?

I'd never call him a Judas though. Everton got a decent amount of money for him and we're still around. It's not like he left and we went down as a direct result.
