Not A Transfer Rumour..... Wayne Rooney

I really wouldnt. He is a good player of course, hes also an idiot who would bring the ridiculous media frenzy with him. I wouldnt have minded so much if he left us when he was say 24 or something. He left us as a kid the first chance he got.

Hes also on 200k a week and would still cost a hefty sum. I also think he is the type of player who will go really crap once he gets older which he is on the cusp of doing.

Rooney has got at least 5 years left in him. He lost form last year because he was basically replaced by RVP. He would score 20+ goals for any decent side if he was their main man up front.

jesus wept!

Rooney hate him or not, is a world class forward in his prime on mega money who would cost you £25M-£30M+ virtually guarantee 20 goals a season and the only chance we would ever have of signing him would be because he simply loves everton. We couldnt match his wages, we couldnt offer him CL footy, he would be doing it just to be playing for his boyhood club and because he knows that even if he only lifted the carling cup it would mean more to him than anything else he has achieved.

I honestly cant beleive anyone wouldnt want him here

This is a myth that is used by people that still hold a grudge on Wayne Rooney.

You don't lose your touch, vision, passing, or shooting ability when you hit 30 like some would lead you to believe.

In fact, the only real noticeable decline would be pace. And similarly stamina but at a later stage.

And pace really isn't Rooneys game anymore anyway, certainly not at United. He has always played in the hole.

The only time I can remember Rooney really running at people was as a kid at Everton

So he would join us for under half his wages? Hes right up there with Steve McMahon in the all time knobhead list for me.

Maybe? Who knows?

But I'd say we've got a better chance of signing him than any of the other top 10 strikers in the world. Wouldn't you agree?

We dont know that. He could get fat, get injured and be rubbish.

Everyone keeps acting like he is a changed man and all that. His attitude at Old Trafford has been crap too the way he has demanded more money etc. He got it too which is the mad thing yet he still moans.

For me hes not one of the top 10 strikers in the world. But I know what you mean.

And no I dont think we stand a better chance just because his wages are insane. Even if he does love us again he wont take that much of a drop in the prime years of his career. Who would?

try top 50. Weve got no chance of signing anyone of Rooneys calibre atm.

I would be a dream move if we got him. Its almost too unrealistic to dream about but i just cant help it.

Why would he get fat, he is a professional footballer that trains weekly and is watched by coaches, physios and other staff.

Messi could get a career ending injury in his next game. There's a risk whenever you sign any player. It's not a good reason not to sign someone.

He's scored 58 goals in his last 90 apps for club and country. You won't find many strikers doing that in a top league over the last 2 years. Talks of him going downhill are ridiculous imo.

So what he kissed the man utd badge it was his way to react to the sickening abuse he recived from sections of the Everton fans
