Not A Transfer Rumour..... Wayne Rooney

IMO he just doesn't look like he will be the type to play well into his thirty's. If he does and keeps himself fit, maybe adapts his game/posistion and is still doing the business on the pitch then yeah sure I'd have him back even at 32 ish.

Wouldn't make him any sort of Everton legend tho, which IMO only making sacrifices to come now in his prime would.

As the poster above says, know one knows what Rooney is thinking or wants from this half of his career. If he wants to go back to his boyhood club it could be made to happen it really could. If he's got no thought of coming back here it won't happen and he'll get big money from several clubs who'd love to have him.

David Moyes will walk straight into a searching test of his man-management skills next week after it emerged Wayne Rooney is still angling to leave Old Trafford.
The former Everton manager’s Manchester United reign officially begins on Monday and he was hoping to launch it in style by persuading Rooney to forget his differences with retired boss Sir Alex Ferguson and channel his energies into United’s Premier League title defence.
But, in a stance that will alert new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, the 27-year-old is evidently in no mood for reconciliation and is expected to tell Moyes he still favours leaving.
Sportsmail understands United are beginning to contemplate how much they could ask for the England striker, who cost them £27m from Everton in 2004
Should Moyes fail to talk him round, United will hold out for at least £25m.
Chelsea look better placed than Arsenal to lure him, though it is thought the Rooney camp have not ruled out a move abroad.

Love that rooneys digging his heels in and making life difficult for moyes from the off. Not sure I can see him moving abroad but annoyingly I think Arsenal would be very interested.

Baines and Fellaini leaving would be dissapointing but if there 40M of fees allowed us to bring in....

Rooney 25M, Honda 5M and Moses 10M I'd be more than satisfied. Then just use remaining funds and player trading's to fill the other posistions.

I still dream that Rooney wants to come back. Unfortunately were probably the last team on his mind.

your prob right but then lcab has said he's desperate to come back and bluefox has said he will def be back sometime. I hope baines stays but if he does decide he wants CL football and asks to move, we should explain that we value bainsey at £20m and insist on a swap, him for Rooney.

Rumour doing the round on twitter that Kenwright met Stretford.
I asked David Prentice on twitter his thoughts on a Rooney return,he basically thinks the same as me.....Stretford wouldn't allow it.

He won't be back
