Not A Transfer Rumour..... Wayne Rooney

There is a reason why strikers tend to cost more than left backs though, and if you believe the statistics Coleman provided greater defensive protection at right back.
... if you believe the statistics I believe they also said Baines created more chances than any player in top-flight football.

We can't lose Baines; we could lose Fellaini.

Has a single person over the course of 1,200+ messages said they want Rooney back at 31 or 32 years old? In fact I'm pretty sure it's been 100% unanimous (which is almost impossible on the internet) we don't want that. We're discussing getting him this year or next (which may be deluded but nevertheless I'm not sure why everyone feels the need to point out how bad getting him at 32 would be on every page when nobody is arguing the opposite view).

Just how good a deal for Everton would a Fellaini/Rooney swop be ?
Assuming in the first place that we could afford the financial demands that Rooney would make...which we couldn't.
Rooney will be 28 next October having played for twelve years in the premiership. He has had a very mixed season ,where he has fallen out of favour at Utd and there are question marks about his lifestyle and determination to remain a top athlete.

I cannot help but believe that 20m pounds spent wisely to bring in possibly three young talented players might be a better long term deal for Everton.
I think Rooney would love to play again for Everton, but in a way that an emigrant longs for home...a home they very often never go back to.

I'd love to see Rooney back within the next 12 months or not at all, but I can't disagree with any of this. Spot on about young talent.

There is no way Rooney would come back home now. Maybe when he turns 35. I just want to know how much money we will get if he is off to somewhere due to the selling clause (or is it still valid?).

I'd happily have him back at 31. He'd be one of the best players in our team even at that age. He's world class ffs !

Face it, when he comes back this club becomes a pension center to him.

1) His hefty wages.
2) He won't come back when he is still in his peak.
3) He won't come if he is not injured-prone.
