Not A Transfer Rumour..... Wayne Rooney

Just a question for some who knows more than myself...

How much of an influence does strettford have on Rooney? Obviously I know he's all about the money he can make off him but does it stop there? I mean if Rooney said I wanna go back to Everton would he just accept that or does he have that much power over him to say " no your not wayne, I'm not having that"

???

Rumour doing the round on twitter that Kenwright met Stretford.
I asked David Prentice on twitter his thoughts on a Rooney return,he basically thinks the same as me.....Stretford wouldn't allow it.

He won't be back

I don't believe that stretford has the power to dictate what Rooney does with his career. He could easily be replaced if he was getting in the way.

This will be unbelievable if Rooney comes back and we keep everyone else.

Impossible IMO. IF it was to happen, we'd have to lose either fellaini or Baines or both. Then lets say he happened to want the move, would he still want it with us loosing both? Doubt it, he may accept being fellaini's replacement and us adding a couple more but loosing Baines too weakens us...

Hmmm so many if's but's and maybe's....un realistic and realistic thoughts.....

Christ you burst my bubble there. Oh well I know we can't afford it becuase we have a skint chairman.

think id literally rip my cock of wanking over rooney coming back.

ONly way that is ever possible is a swap for either Baines, but transfer fee wise, realistically fellaini.

Id take rooney over fellaini all day long tbh, i can beleive he wants to come back, hes won everything, hes earned enough money and surely we still pull at his boyhood heartstrings.

thats the dream, the reality is that i think hes a mercenary little [Poor language removed] who will never feel he has enough money and will just go to whoever pays him the most in any league.

I very much doubt though at this stage in his carear he goes were his agent orders him. Maybe when he was 17 he done what he was told but not now surely?

Love him back where he belongs, but pretty certain it will only happen after hes signed another £25M contract somewhere and he waddles back when hes early 30s

shame...

Of course your most probably right but....

I think people forget just how much of a blue Rooney is. Not suprising when you think of him leaving at 17, the badge incedent etc but he's certainly a blue just like me and you.

He's got enough money to not worry anymore and let's face it he'd hardly be slumming it with the money he'd get here. He's won everything, his boy is being raised a blue naturally, what would mean more to him now? Another title with utd? Going to Chelsea for a title? Arsenal, no guarantee of anything there! Or making the difference back at his boyhood club, winning the FA cup, that both he and Everton want. His boy watching his dad play for their team...these things must pull at him.

Would he want to waddle in when he's in his 30's not making much difference or come in prime age and be a hero. I would think the latter.

Oh....it's so easy to get carried away thinking it could happen, it should happen! It won't tho...

I still cant believe so many people want Rooney back.

Hes a complete knobhead who **** all over us. I really dont want him anywhere near us.

ive well forgiven him tbh, we moved on and survived without him.

BUT the one thing i always hated was that he never gave us a chance, like Gerrard did with the ****e.

If he comes back in his prime though i think he would die for us every game and people against the move would pretty quickly forget what happened

His would single handedly be the difference between 6th and CL IMO and id absolutely love him here.

Rooney couldn't have saved us on his own back then. We was piss poor. The money from his transfer started our slow redevelopment. He was young and clearly just as hurt by the fact evertonians were showing him such hatred as we was by the fact he had left. Throw in some spiteful retaliation in the form of badge kissing and this is why some people hold a grudge.

Fact is, he was young, angry, and alienated by a sector of Evertonians when he left. And he regrets retaliating.

No-one can deny that him returning would be an absolute monster of a transfer for EFC and would automatically take us up another level. Imagine a Rooney with passion, in a blue shirt once more.

He's not a bird who cheated on you 10 yrs ago and now wants to get back together, yet your principles won't allow it...

He's a world class striker ffs, the type of which we could never attract to GP, but his feelings for this club, whatever he's done as a youngster and for his career....IF he wanted back here we should be delighted and move mountains to get back wayne Rooney the world class striker!

Stick to your principles, I have no doubt you'd change your mind and be delighted once he was back.

The only realistic transfer which would allow him to earn similar wages would be to Chelsea. He would have to take a drastic wage cut if he went to Arsenal, and I can't see them going higher than 150k a week, which is a figure that we could reach without any additional investment just through getting Fellaini, Neville and Heitinga off the wage bill.

It's just a shame that Everton are the only club that won't benefit from the additional 30 million they are likely to receive from the new TV deal. As that could cover our other, hardly spectacular, investment in the squad.... Alcatraz, Kone etc

I really wouldnt. He is a good player of course, hes also an idiot who would bring the ridiculous media frenzy with him. I wouldnt have minded so much if he left us when he was say 24 or something. He left us as a kid the first chance he got.

Hes also on 200k a week and would still cost a hefty sum. I also think he is the type of player who will go really crap once he gets older which he is on the cusp of doing.
