Not A Transfer Rumour..... Wayne Rooney

first i would love to have him back BUT if some one told you they could get your old job back, one that you liked but you would half to take a 60% pay cut, would you? the figures are quite irrelevant really. hes become accustomed to the wages he gets now. sadly have to face the stark truth we just cant afford him full stop
I might, if I'd already made so much money I couldn't spend it in 3 lifetimes, and wanted to finish my career doing something I *enjoyed* rather than just doing something to make the most money possible.

Not saying he will come back, but it's not NECESSARILY as cut and dried as that post of your makes out.

Just all seems a little to convenient for me. Seems strange that SAF announces Rooney has handed in a transfer request only a few days after he told 'Koff Moyles he was the new manager. Why put that pressure on him so early? Certainly when Rooney states afterwards that he's done no such thing. It seems a strange thing to do if it wasn't premeditated for a certain reaction.

Thinking about it, it could be SAF knowing that Rooney has issues with 'Koff Moyles and he was essentially saying, Rooney is going, but dont blame him cause Rooney knew nothing about him being here, takin the pressure and Blame off Moyes.

Ahhhhh, I dunno.............

Anyway, No.18 has definately been left free for a reason.

IT'S ON.

It's different tho mate, a 60% wage cut for you and me would mean not being able to live, not being able to pay bills etc.... Rooney dropping from 200K to 100k won't make any difference to his life other than his bank balance statement figure. There's also several other ways to up his money threw advertising deals ect.

One name mate: Stretford.

Massive stumbling block right there sadly.

SAF may have been colluding with Moyes. Davie might've said he can't work with him, so Fergie sets up a perfect storm so that it's Rooneys problem, and not Moyes'.

Just a thought.

The lad needs to hand in his transfer request and leave it at that becuase leaking stuff via sources to SSN is not going to do him any good.

Got to love the media.

Player wants to go to Man United and its a great move, player wants to leave Man United and he is advised badly!!!

how much did we sell him for and are we likely to receive anything once he is sold? (or have we received everything we were ever gonig to get from selling him / have clauses been removed when we've signed Utd players etc?)

Will Rooney really be leaving united? It's starting to seem likely..

Rooney and Moyes in the same organisation is a recipe for disaster. United are posturing about not being phased concerning keeping hold of him and the player running down his contract. They'll sell soon enough. I cant imagine Rooney taking to the field as a United player again.
