I agree Dave. Rooney's card was marked by Ferguson at the end of last season when he made public their latest spat & said he'd asked to leave. IMO he could see Rooney's star beginning to fade, as the years of poor diet, ale & fags, started to take their toll on his physical prowess. They've had the best years of his career, now is the time for them to get their cash back & move on an expensive, petulant player, who'll be ****ed by the time he hits 30. Moyes arrival merely sealed the deal imo.

I think that might be writing Rooney off too soon. He's got a few years left at the very top but it was never going to happen for him at United even before Moyes arrived...Moyes now being in charge just seals his departure. He's got loads still to offer and some other CL club will get the benefit of a top European player for the next few years. I'm a bit surprised there's been no movement form the continent yet. He's highly thought of over there.

Could see Luiz not fitting into Mourinho plans, selling Mata would be gamble but they have similar players and they know Mata is kind of player United desperate for. A motivated Wayne Rooney with a fresh start should win any decent team the title

Looks like the judas doesn't want to play for Moyes whatsoever, this explains why Fergie started the rot to make it easier for Moyes, and get the fans on Moyes side from day one, the old guy knew what he was doing. Moyes did say a few years ago it biggest regret was losing Rooney and would love to work with him in the future. This is no different to what Man u did last season to Arsenal.

Yep, they need to delay the signing until the last day of the window if that is the case.

I think he's still got 2 or 3 years left at the top of the game, but beyond that I think he'll struggle. As for the continent, I could maybe see him in Spain, but Germany, France or Italy? Nah, he'd be like the scurge at Juve mate.
