Chelsea fan and journo just been on radio saying that he thinks Mata and Luiz were never likely fit into Mourinho's plans. still seems strange to start with that though, if it doesn't come off he is left with two players who know they are unwanted.

why would Chelsea want to offer a player to their rivals and make them stronger, Man u need a top quality midfielder and Mata is, Chelsea can afford to buy rooney and still keep Mata, makes no sense. Plus lets say it true, why would Man u reject the deal then ?

It does seem odd they'd offer either of those 2 in exchange. Didn't they turn down a near £30m offer from Barca for Luiz a week or 2 ago?

maybe they think its only way of getting him, as utd dont want to strengthen a rival...so by giving them a player utd can say to themselves and fans that all is equal

Desperate for rooney, when the player is already half way out the door, they could easily offer 20 million which would be the best Man u can hope for. One reason I don't believe it as Man u have rejected the deal.
