We'll have actually gone backwards once the window is over and we've sold Lukaku and not even bothered replacing him. That's unacceptable.
Exactly what I've been saying. Not one quote or transfer story suggests we're after a striker it's almost like Koeman told the board hey let's get rid of our striker and make the window close for us four days before anyone else ...

:coffee:

Puddings/desserts seem to be a lot less common these days than they were back when I was a kid. I was never a fan of rice pudding but enjoyed semolina with canned apricots. Pies, crumbles with ice cream or custard were nice too. But rice pudding was more common .
I'm of course familiar with Dundee cake but I've never had it with custard.

One final word on the subject if I may: canned fruit (like the apricots I liked on semolina, but I also liked peaches) must be put in the fridge at least 2 hours before opening and serving. This is because back in the day, Sulpher Dioxide (SO2) was used as a preservative and it slightly tainted the contents. But below 10 centigrade it is tasteless.
I am not sure whether it is still used. I eat very little canned fruit nowadays. I suspect there's a truckload of sugar in them.

PS Even years later, I still don't like rice pudding

Seen quite a bit of knee jerking in general over the past day or two.

Seems that when we win we're still no good, and when we lose there's no way back, Isthmian League here we come.

Level heads are what's needed.

Tbf it's quite a natural reaction, happens everywhere. When you play badly and win, people tend to overlook the faults. When you play badly and lose, then all the accumulated frustration comes out. It's a healing cathartic process. Doesn't mean that everything is bad.

That is spot on mate. It was our first loss and hence our first real venting opportunity because,(let's be honest), the style of football we have been playing has been turgidly awful.

I think we are much improved to be honest. The city game we looked hard to score against they threw everything at us and we made a mistake
and gave them a goal (schoolboy error to an ex filth)
Chelsea always going to be hard and would expose our weaknesses, not many teams will put two past us this season.
We just need a decent front man with 4 days to go ...... I will wait to see what happens before then as I would expect something before then
Moshiri and Walsh have to have something in the pipeline surely ..........
